These people are scammers. They have several different names such as Trio Mariachi Capri, Mariachi Now ( on yelp), mariachi world and who knows how many other false names.

These false companies are ran by Richard Vargas, Javier Vargas, and Emerson Cardova. They have a website called triomariachicapri.com . I found them online, spoke with Richard Vargas several times regarding the playlist and details. He required a deposit of $100 before signing a contract with me.

He never showed up to my wedding. He later told me they had car trouble. Then Richard Vargas added that they booked other gigs that same day an hour from my event and couldn't make it. So first I was given the excuse/ lie of car trouble then an excuse of overbooking.

I did receive my deposit back, but my wedding day was ruined.

Mariachi trio Capri is on theknot.com, on yelp under the name mariachi now, and they have an F rating on the BBB. Please read the reviews.

I hired a mariachi band through emerson at mariachi world for a new years eve party. Emerson was very professional and the band was great!

They showed up on time and brought great life to our party. I would recommend them for your next fiesta and I will certainly hire them again!

All of the guests at the party were so happy and the band put on a great performance. I think it was one of the best new years celebrations ive had.

Mariachiworld.com is the way to go, check out their site and their music. The band we hired in LA was great and I'm sure all if the bands are really talented.

Mariachiworld was a blessing! They helped me with my dads funeral, they were nothing but nice and they gave us a great price.

It seems that people only care to post bad comments and not the good ones. I would always be in debt with this guys for helping me with a really special ocation. i called them just the night before to have a special request about my dads last wish to have a mariachi band.

We had another mariachi that couldnt show up. THis guys really really made a sad day a really special happy one.Thanks Emerson

I went to an online site titled Mariachiworld.net to book some mariachis for a birthday party. I spoke with Emerson Vargas in July 2011 to book the mariachis one month later.

We spoke on the phone several times and emailed each other with details. We looked up the band on the web, and liked their music. This was for a large "big deal" birthday fiesta. We decided on a 4 piece mariachi group called Mariachi Mexicanismo, which would cost $500 for a 2 hour performance.

Half would be paid up front, then the rest would be paid after the performance. Mr. Vargas emailed me a contract, signed by him, and I signed it and returned it to him at the address provided. He had me deposit the money into his wife's Bank of America account.

Her name was given as Christine Gregory. He confirmed that they received the deposit and we continued to confirm details, date, address and confirmations. On the night of the event the mariachis were to show up at 6pm. They were a no-show.

I started calling at 6:30pm and got no answer. I finally got a hold of Emerson Vargas at 11:30pm, well after the party ended. He had a story of a car accident, people transported to the hospital, car towed, etc... Ok, I can understand that.

Then I received nothing but excuses. It is 6 months later, and they have not refunded my deposit back to me for breech of contract. I have called and emailed them at least 20 times, and still have not received my deposit back. He actually had the nerve to tell me that he was going to sue me for slander!

Now he just doesn't answer my calls, but I will continue to try and resolve this. This company / website is committing fraud. Do not trust them with your money or entertainment needs. I can guarantee you will be disappointed.

This was such a huge disappointment to all of us, especially the recipient. It''s bad enough they didn't show up, but to also keep the deposit is low.

In having a SURPRISE birthday party for my mom's 60th, I wanted a mariachi and contacted the mariachiworld.net contractor. I paid half the amount as the down payment - we had a contract.

I was buying 2 hours, 5-person mariachi. Four days before the party, the contractor had not given me any information about the mariachi, not even a phone number. I called him several times, texted messaged him, and he hardly ever answered. If he did, he was busy or said he would text me the phone number - and NEVER did.

On the day of the party, with all the other STRESS I had in planning a party, I still had no word from the contractor or the mariachi. I was NOT SURE THERE WAS GOING TO BE A MARIACHI ON THE DAY OF THE PARTY, or if they would even be there on time for the SURPRISE. I finally got a hold of them. The contractor had not given them the directions or address or MAP that I emailed him.

4pm was the surprise time - they got here at 4:30. Luckily my mom didn't figure out why my aunt and uncle were driving her around for HALF AN HOUR. There there were not the FIVE mariachi I paid for, there were ONLY FOUR. The leader of the mariachi did not apologize - in fact he was CONDESCENDING and RUDE - this was NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL ("Mariachi Para Today Occasion").

They took a break after half an hour of playing, and ate. I had no problem with that. But I went over to discuss the contract with him - and ask if they were playing until 6:30. He said they got there at 4:15, not 4:30, and would not discuss it with me.

Then he said "Usted es una persona ask" - you are one of those people. I said one of what people? Then he childishly put his food down and said I'll play to not take up any of your time. I told him this was business - NOT PERSONAL - but the MARIACHI WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL and INSULTED ME.

They finished at 6:12 on the dot and asked for their money. The contractor was useless and the mariachi was rude - do not use this service.
