Mancuso Limousine - AWFUL

I almost don't even know where to begin with this uneducated, unprofessional, disgrace of a company- but I'll try my hardest to accurately relay my disgusting experience in the hopes that I can save someone from having to deal with this inept establishment in the future.

My wife and I made the unfortunate decision to book the limo for our wedding day through Mancuso Limo. Initially, the experience was not a bad one. We picked out our limo at some location on Main St. in Batavia, booked the limo, and actually even received the limo that we booked- which from other reviews I have read on this company, is a huge scam they pull. They allow everyone to pick out and book the nice limo, and then on the day of your event that limo “is broken down” so you get the 25 year old limo from the junkyard.

On the day of our wedding everything started out well. The driver was on time, and very nice. The nightmare didn’t begin until after the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony, we got into the limo, and as everyone does, we began to celebrate. My wife wanted to make a drink, so she grabbed one of the bottles of alcohol that we had stocked the limo with prior to the ceremony out of the cup holder and rested it on her dress as she made her drink. It turns out that there was some sort of red mystery liquid that somewhat resembled melted lipstick, or red paint, inside of the cup holder that the bottle had been in. So, when she removed the bottle from her lap, she had 4 bright red perfect circles all over her white wedding dress. Now, like I mentioned, the only part of the wedding that had already happened was the ceremony, so we still had a full day of pictures and the reception. Needless to say, this ruined the rest of my wife’s “day”. Her wedding day. The day that every girl waits their whole life for, was ruined by some scuzzy company’s inability to make sure that their vehicle is clean before renting it out again.

Now comes the real reason why I say this company is completely and utterly INEPT. Immediately following the wedding I called Mancuso and explained what had happened. We are not unreasonable people- we were not attempting to get anything out of this company, other than for the dress to be cleaned, even though based on the nature of the event that they ruined, we could have been seeking much more. When I spoke with Mancuso I talked to a very nice girl named Jesse, who was very apologetic and agreed that Mancuso should at the very least cover the cost of cleaning the dress. I appreciated the way that she handled the situation, and told her that I would send her the receipt after we had the dress cleaned, and she agreed that they would reimburse us for the cleaning once I sent them the receipt. Fine by me.

Enter: Andrew Gayton “Customer Service Specialist” to the situation.

After we had the dress cleaned, I called Mancuso and asked for Jesse so that I could get her email address to send her the receipt. Andrew Gayton informed me that Jesse had been fired, and refused to pay the bill for cleaning the dress. As would be expected, this infuriated me. I told myself initially that I knew there was absolutely no way they could make this right; there was no way they could UN-ruin our wedding day, but that if they made the gesture to pay for the dress cleaning that it would at the very least be a show of good faith that they were apologetic about the situation. So, needless to say, Andrew Gayton telling me that they weren’t going to pay the negligible amount ($150) that it cost to clean the dress did not sit well with me, and I was not going to let this go.

Our wedding was in July. I have continuously fought with Andrew Gayton over the past 6 months on the principle that I was not going to let this disgrace of a company get away with this situation. After relentlessly threatening the Better Business Bureau, and legal action (all over $150 to clean a dress), with no response whatsoever from Mr. Andrew Gayton, I finally received this gem of an email from him below:

“Ok I Have Played Your Game Enough And I’m Sick of Your Threats That Don’t Scare Me One Bit But I’m Seriously Sick Of Your Retarded Mouth Annoying The Living *** Out Of Me I A Personally Refunding Your 150 Dollars So That you shut the *** up and go away even tho it was your wife’s uncoordinated *** That spilled something on herself you 150 bucks will be on your card with 5 business days. Don’t really give a *** about you. im just sick of dealing with you HAVE A VERY GOOD NEW YEARS AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!! Money Has Been Refunded even tho I told you it was out of my hands I took care of it”

Naturally, I laughed at the grammar, and the actual content of the email, but the fact that this guy is their “Customer Service Specialist” was by far the most shocking aspect of all. I obviously have not responded to this ransom-letter-looking email, strictly out of fear for being murdered, but needless to say, I am appalled at the overall experience with this company. No one should ever, EVER, use Mancuso Limo unless you want to be disappointed and verbally accosted. They are unprofessional, uneducated, immoral, *** of a company.

One can only hope that with the help of this review, and the dozens of other negative reviews of their company, they will finally be put out of their misery and stop ruining milestone events in people’s lives with their incompetency.

Really dry cleaning $150? 1 dress

Who's kidding who the bill stated for preservation and boxing

After talking with several drycleaners the dry cleaning portion was $75

After getting 75 emails a day and being threatened sorry for being disgruntled should've never been handled in such an unprofessional manner

Can't believe some of the reviews I'm reading here. I think that most of them are not real and true.

And why does the review have to start with an issue or problem? Is this review site trying to gain popularity? Nevertheless, I just wanted to say that this company is highly reliable. Basically it is total opposite from what other reviewers here are saying.

I have used it on my wedding day and we received the perfect service. The driver was on time, the limo was clean and spacious and they gave us very affordable rate.

My sister also used their service and only had great words about this company. One of the best limo services in Rochester.

As I saw several complaints about this business I can confirm that they are accidental or maybe untrue. I have used Mancuso Limo several weeks ago and everything was exceptionally good.

From their rate, till the end. The limo was spacious and clean, very luxurious with nice interior design. The driver was cool and easy going guy, and gave us exceptionally great drive. He was very knowledgable of the area and the locations we wanted to visit.

We never stopped for no reason or had any problems with him.

Their customer service is also great. I don't know what to say more, only that they are an experienced company that you can trust!

I acquired them for the surprise birthday party of my gf. We had a blast, because of this guys.

They offered me great limo for really affordable rate. It was very spacious and clean. The bar was modern and the design was extremely stylish. Our driver was very cool and knew every address and place we visited that night.

We really loved their attitude and service. It seemed to us like they wanted to satisfy our needs and not just steal our money. We felt respected, even though we maybe exaggerated with our demands.

Simply Mancuso Limo is a great company that cares for their customers. We will use them again.

TAXI CAB SERVICE NOT LIMO SERVICE

We were RUSHED AS SOON AS HE SHOWED UP. They were double booked for the day so he made had to push us out as soon as possible. While paying him cash he unprofessionally demanded that tip wasn’t included. A tip is based on performance of an individual and all he did was drive the limo bus. There was chew tobacco in one of the cup holders when we first got in there. Also the radio wasn’t working or the TV. The air conditioning was working well that was about the one positive. We had brought drinks and beer before the church and when we arrived back in the bus to head to the reception nothing was cleaned up for us. All the empties and garbage was all over. The driver didn’t help any of the ladies of the bus like a good limo driver would he just standing there watching them struggle to not fall on there face on the way off wearing there long dresses. Then he rushed off to next job. Little effort went into his job that day for us. He didn’t deserve any bit of the tip we gave prior to completing his job.

12:30-4:15 $900 what a waste of money a limo is supposed to be a great experience and it wasn’t. I should have rented a Ferrari for a day instead and drove my self there. I hope they get there act together.

I would never use mancusso again we hired s&s limo for a bachelor party and even though the limo was beaten up inside it was made up for with the excellent service we received from the driver. You live you learn.

You receive the limo for the allotted time and the limo was a new nicer limo then any limo in the area because they truly do have new limos both inside and out

How could you complain because they're successful and busy and had another job after yours that's how they afford new limos

No Show on Wedding Day!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

There are a few things that can go REALLY wrong on your wedding day. One of them is definitely if the limo doesn't show up to take everybody to the church. That's what happened to us, courtesy of Mancuso.

We were already nervous about the company due to a problem we had on the day of my sister's bachelorette party. The limo showed up 45 minutes late, which was definitely a problem- we weren't just "bar hopping," but had a reservation somewhere. We were lucky we could still get in when we showed up over an hour late. The limo was also dirty on the inside, with leftover bottles of wine and discarded cups from the previous event.

I called the company after the incident, since I was Matron of Honor and had booked the limo. We chose Mancuso because my sister had booked them for her wedding transportation and they offered a good deal on the bachelorette party. I spoke to Mel, who was very apologetic and offered to return my $200 deposit for the driver being so late. I asked that he apply that amount as a credit to my sister's bill for the wedding day services. He did that; I also expressed concern that we might have a late limo on the day of the wedding. Mel assured me that there would be no problem. He promised that the limo would be clean and on time, because we were the first ones using that vehicle that day. We trusted him and his company; that was our mistake.

The pick-up was scheduled on my sister's wedding day for 11:00am. The limo was going to take 10 women, 7 formal dresses and lots of gear to the church by noon. At 11:15, I was on the phone with an employee of Mancuso, my sister standing next to me fighting back tears. She got ahold of the driver for me; he told me that he thought the pick-up was at 1:00pm. The contract clearly stated an 11:00 pick up. Also, my sister had received a confirmation call from Mancuso two days before and they repeated 11:00. It still remains a mystery to me how this happened; the driver blamed it on the owner - well, apparently neither of them can read, then. He was about half an hour away without traffic- we would have never made it to the church on time! We told him not to come and frantically had to find a way to get everyone and all our things to the church. We only had 2 cars at the house, so thank goodness for neighbors and friends who came to our rescue!

Needless to say, my sister was really upset at what happened. We got to the church on time. But, not without a great amount of stress and scrambling because we were abandoned by our ride. What was supposed to be a calm, celebratory ride to the church turned into anxiety ridden chaos. Worse, my sister spoke to Mel and then, two days later, my dad also did. He did not apologize once for the incident. He refunded us some money, but what we really wanted was some recognition that this was a big screw up- and at least take ownership/say you're sorry for the aggravation! Very unprofessional but also heartless.

So, I'm taking to the Internet to tell everyone I know about this experience. We are no longer angry; our purpose is to spread the word so that you make another choice for your transportation needs. Mancuso proved to us that they are unreliable and we just want others to avoid having a similar nightmare experience. Tell your friends and shop around; there are plenty of other places in town to rent a limo and I suggest you take your business there rather than Mancuso.

Mancuso limousine of wny is the WORST

We rented a party bus coach w/ these people. they give you a detailed contract basically stating your liable for any and everything that goes wrong w/ the bus, even gas!!!!

we signed the contract, When it was time for my party we got the bus, when walking on the bus it smelled as if we were inside a hot sweaty locker room... it smelled horrid. when i tried to start the music NOTHING worked the flat screen had no signal the dvd player was broken and the cd player would not start up.. i promped the bus driver to pull over and fix everything, he worked on it for 20 min and gave up because nothing could be done.

Some of the passengers had to use the restroom on the bus and stated that it was Disgusting, there were santarty naptkins on the floor, blood on the toilet seat, no toilet paper, and the overall apperance was DIRTY. I contacted the woman who rented the bus to me Jennifer Mcdonald and recieved major attitude and was told to write an email!!!! I wrote the email and nerver got a response. Up until today i called numerous times and sent another email...

No one will speak to me.

I filled out a complaint w/ the better buisness bureau and if it is not resolved through them i am going to take this matter up w/ my lawyer. This matter is rediculous, and it was a waste of alot of money that i want back!!!!!

Extremely Poor Service - Dirty Limo - No A/C

Mancuso Limo service was contracted by us for our wedding date. After the ceremony I entered the limo to find that it was either not cleaned or barely cleaned. The bar/counter-tops were dirty even garbage and chicken wing bone in a cooler.

On top of the lack of cleanliness, the air conditioner was inadequate. The main vent blew out warm air the entire trip. The driver tried to turn it on and could not get it to work.

Mancuso will give you the best price by beating someone else... but there are reasons and consequences for that.

Follow up customer service was horrible, impossible to reach the owner, after a few weeks we did manage to. During the conversation David (owner) had no courtesy to stay inside/near the building and address this concern. Instead he walked around his lot on a portable phone which caused major static and made our conversation very difficult.

the first time i rented their drive was bad....then they made good and still are giving me amzaing rates :grin and cars are always clean and everything always works they go above and beyond to make the ride the best rented over 8 times in the past year

**RESPONSE to what I originally posted on 08-17-2011**

Since then I have sat down face-to-face with owner and manager. We have worked out a fair compromise to the experience that has happened on our wedding day. We are glad that we were able to work things out and come to a mutual agreement on rectifying the situation we had back in July.

They are giving us a second chance and sending us a limo for another try, so we can see the positives that they provide. We look forward to our next limo run.

Mancuso Limo's (Batavia)...poor quality limo's

Driver was nice but the limo itself was terrible !

It was hot outside and the air-conditioning was just turned on when we got in it ! Whewwwww

Something in the sterio system was blown, so all we could hear was thumping...no actual words or clear music was coming out of the speakers !

We took over an hour to compile a awesome cd, made up of great tunes for the ride too !

None of the three tv's worked !!!

SO DISSAPPOINTED...THIS WAS OUR FIRST & LAST EXPERIENCE with this company.

They gave us a good price but they obviously got the better end of the deal.

All these comments are not true! Ive rented SUV limos and dodge chargers,chrysler 300's everything worked fine!

Those cars have customer controls in the back that are clearly labeled!

But usually the client is the one in the wrong!!! Mancuso limo 5***** start service!!!!!

We have no surcharges for gas...never have and never will even though Diesel bus fuel is 4.38 per gallon! Many other limo co.'s do charge. Yes, if things are broken yes you are responsible...there were several items that were. We've had guest swing on poles and knock out several 800.00 specialty glass bus safety windows ...

The same limo bus has gone out several times with no issues. Some recorded cd's will not play on certain dvd players. There are no tv-tuners these are tv monitors. No signal in a moving vehicle.

Most limo buses have no rest rooms, we offer them at no extra charge and they are cleaned and inspected before they leave.When you a have upto 40 MAYBE, rowdy AND intoxicated passengers it only takes the first one to make a mess and never confess....

It seems just more and more things are being added.. We do thousands and thousands of limo jobs mainly w/ repeat customers and renting limos over 25 years! more then most limo companies. We do not conduct biz this way. I hardly think we could have been in biz for so long if so.

If everything was so awful why not just end the run early and get a refund. Not go the whole night and even over the end time then ask for a full refund. Thats like eating the whole steak and then asking your waitress for a full refund?

We are not always perfect but do make adjustments where justified and everyone is polite and not swearing,being rude,yelling at us and calling us names..Seeing this has been elevated to BBB we will work with them directly there in a professional manner. We will abide by all BBB (Better Biz Bureau)rules...

TV'S ONLY WORK WITH DVD THERE IS NO TV TUNER THAT WILL WORK IN A MOVING LIMO

ADJUST THE STEREO....LESS BASS! A/C WORKED JUST WAS NOT TURNED ON!

WHEN 20 PEOPLE GET IN A LIMO THEY HAVE 20 DIFFERENT IDEAS ON HOW TO SET THE CONTROLS. THIS WAS A 125,000.00 NEW ESCALADE SUV LIMO YOU NEED TO OPERATE IT CORRECTLY!
