HE GOES AROUND USES FAKE ALIASES WITH HIS WIFE WHO IS ALSO THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND THEY USE OTHER CREDITED VIDEOGRAPHERS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS AS CLAIM IT AS THEIR WORK. ONE OF THE VIDEOGRAPHERS I CONTACTED LIVES IN AUSTRALIA AND WAS APPALLED THAT HIS FIRM USES HIS WORK.
HE SHOWED UP TO OUR RECEPTION LATE AND GAVE US RAW FOOTAGE THAT HAD MORE MATERIAL OF HIM AND HIS WIFE TELLING EACH OTHER DIRTY JOKES ON OUR WEDDING DAY.
IF YOU CHECK OTHER WEBSITES YOU WILL SEE OTHER COUPLES HAVE BEEN SCAMMED AND ITS BEEN 3+ YEARS THEY NEVER RECEIVED FOOTAGE AS WAS PROMISED.
DON'T SETTLE AND IF YOU DO MEET HIM HE SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR BEING THIS KIND OF A LOW LIFE. HE USES A GO-PRO AND PRETENDS TO HAVE A BIG CROWD BUT THE CAMERAS WEREN'T ON THE WHOLE EVENT.

Worst nightmare ever
- - Was on time and priced fairly, but never delivered our wedding video.
- - Contact info dead; won’t share raw footage; avoid hiring.
This guy is a scam artist. It started out fine with a reasonable rate and he showed up on time during our wedding.
However, it has been a nightmare since. It's been almost a year since our wedding day and has yet to deliver any video from our wedding. He kept making excuses for a while and now his email and cell phone are no longer in service. He is untrustworthy and should not be hired for any wedding.
Stay away! I've tried reaching out to him again and again and he just won't give us our raw video footage.
Please make sure to stay away from this scam artist. He's down this to other people who I have talked to.

- - Later asked for $204 plus $29 tax via MoneyGram.
- - No video.
I was in the market for a videography to record my son's wedding on May 21st 2016. my son had told me about thumbtack and I put the request in to get quotes for the job of recording his wedding on May 21, 2016.. so I got a quote from Malibu Slims Productions and the man's name Johnathan Slack had offered me to do this wedding for $350 and I spoke to him several times and I accepted his quote. in the contract he required $175 when he got to the location where the wedding was going to be. $175 when the video was finished and I was cool with it. in the beginning he seemed very professional and he did show up and I paid him. Five days later he had contacted me,sent me a email with some clips on YouTube a sample of the videos and then he asked me to send him not $175 but $204 which he now had added $29 tax and he wanted me to MoneyGram it to him, because he was out of town.. in his name and send him the confirmation number and then he was going to mail me the finished product of the videos I question this about the $29 tax because we didn't agree upon that but decided to send it to him anyways and two weeks have passed I have never received one text one email one phone call.. AND NO VIDEO DVD'S.
I am very pissed off and upset because there is no do-overs for the beautiful wedding and we really wanted to capture these moments are on the DVDs so they can look back and remember they're beautiful day. unfortunately now I have to take further action and do legal matters to refund my money but the sad part is I have no DVD and that's what I mostly wanted..
so please be aware of Malibu Slims Productions /Johnathan slack is a scam artist and a liar and a cheat!
funny thing is later on we found him on YouTube asking people for $10,000 for the production of his new movie.

Hello,We had the same encounter with this man he has used a different alias and with his "wife" as the photographer. He literally uses other people's work and claims it as his and purposely uses fake addresses.
We have filed with the State of California against his companies and he scams people to use the money for his personal projects. I would like to get in touch with you.

We have had the same issue. He uses other notable videographers and photographers work and takes their credits and put his own companies name.
But we have found out he uses another business name. He uses his "wife" as a photographer and makes excuses as you mentioned.
He purposely uses this as a way to generate revenue for his personal film projects. I would like to get in touch with you if you could provide your email address.
I feel your pain..He was advertising thru Thumbtack.. I had to get them involved.
I received the raw footage very poor quality.. I'm wondering, why? Somethings turned up missing as well.
