Majestic Homes - Builder does not stand behind warranty on sub par work

Majestic home warranty is a complete joke! I have a wall that is separating from my ceiling and they refuse to fix it.

They say it is out of warranty. The whole reason it is out of warranty is because they didn't fix it the first time they came out during the one year inspection. Their idea of a fix was to caulk it so they could appease me until the one year was up. I expect some cracking in the winter because of the dryness, but the wall and the ceiling are actually separating.

I was told this is common in their homes and to suggest there is nothing they can do about it is insulting to my intelligence. I have had several homes and this has never been a problem with them. Seems to me if they know about this problem in their homes, they should fix it while the home is being built but i suppose that would be too expensive.

Buyer beware. If I know someone who is considering building with these guys I would try to talk them out of it!!

Schult Homes

AI Highlights
  • We bought a Schult home in 2012 and are happy.
  • Delivery was quick and under three weeks after ordering.
  • Shower issue was fixed; quality is outstanding.

Just to contradict all the complaints, we purchased a Schult home in 2012 and couldn't be happier. Special ordered the home and it was here in less than three weeks.

Had a problem with shower but was immediately fixed to our satisfaction. Quality of home is outstanding. Dealer called us every couple weeks to if we needed something fixed. Had to tell them I would call if I had a problem.

We paid $60,000 and feel we got a good quality home for the price.

Plan on buying another for my other daughter this summer. Will definitely get another Schult home.

Pros:
  • Service
Cons:
  • Water heater warranty
