Dishonest- Do not have jewelry worked on there!!
I purchased a gold bangle bracelet from here. It was a nice weighted, solid gold bangle with gemstones.
They offered to "cut it" down so it would fit my wrists. The owner said they would take 1/4" from each side. I told her I wanted the gold that was cut out and she said ok. When I went to pick up the bracelet, it was IMMEDIATELY apparent that it has been substantially altered.
It was still too big, a gemstone was chipped and about to fall out, the scrap gold cutting they gave me were less than 1/8". The clasp also no longer functioned effortlessly as it did when I bought it. (I never took it home, I bought new and left it there for the resizing). Worst, the bracelet appeared to have been scraped of about 1/3 of the gold that was in it.
I complained to the owner and was quite offended they would try to pass that off on me as if I would not notice. The owner first acted like she didn't see the chip, then reluctantly admitted it was there. She promised to make it right and to replace the stone and make it the correct size. I went back the second time and the stone was replaced and it was the correct size.
However, the clasp was still bent and mishapen. Worst, my once brand new beautiful and thick luxurious bangle now looked like a used hoop earring. The owner denied taking any additional gold out to do the second resizing and refused to give me any scrap gold other than the original two tiny pieces. Completely dishonest.
I dont want to wear the bracelet because it makes me just sick what they did.
***Piece of advice- if you ever have jewelry worked on, take photos, weigh the item, get a detailed written description from the jeweler otherwise you are vulnerable. I made the mistake of trusting this person.
