I recently wanted to start a web site and was looking for someone in my local area to help me with the design. I came across a site that at first sounded reasonable.
I emailed the site owner and after exchanging emails and checking refrences I decided to hire this person. Well almost as soon as I saw what she had done I was not pleased by her work in the least. Ideas I had for my own website I fell fell on deaf ears. None of my ideas were not incorperated into what I wanted and it was a complete waste of time and money.
I asked for a refund and was declined because as she felt it was time put into the project. I made several complaints to the better business bureau and still working with them in resolving the monetary issue. Upon further investigation of her refrences I learned through several sources that her refrences were merely no more then her teenage dauhter,her boyfriend and herself disquised under at least 4 different email accounts!!! This person takes your money promising a web site and its no more then a scam to suck money out of people.
When you want a refund based on lack of service she uses a legal loop to keep your money then moving on to another customer.
I have since found a someone who did help me complete my website. Please watch for this person.
