Magical Sparks Fly Horse Transportation Review from Addison, Texas

We contracted for our stud to be moved from mi to Rx in February. After calling and calling and rescheduling after rescheduling he gets picked up. We hear nothing from the driver of Susann about where our horse is for 7 days when they tell us they are dropping him off in CO somewhere because they just can't make it to TX. He was on the trailer with another horse that had been on for 15 days just standing on their disgusting trailer with no wood shavings, no food nothing! We didn't get updates, pics or anything to indicate how our horse was or how we looked! These people are a joke! They travel all over picking up horses all over the country leaving horses on for too many days with limited food and water, no ventilation no breaks off the trailer. Communication is a nightmare! Care is a nightmare! Worst experience ever!

Scammed and lied to!

Susann Wilson had offered to ship a mare I had recently purchased from Texas to Wisconsin for a VERY reasonable rate. Of course it sounds to good to be true! After paying her half price she NEVER picked up the mare. She never make contact with the original owner or us about not being able to arrive on time or planning a different pick up date. She ignored our calls and messages multiple times! Left us sitting with no idea if something bad had happened. After she didn't arrive on the second planned date we decided to take action into our own hands. Needless to say we found someone else. Plus thanks to paypal and the bank we TOOK our money back! Susann is VERY unprofessional and our first experience shipping a horse is certainly a terrible one. But with a different shipper the mare arrived safely and I couldn't be happier with her!

DO NOT USE MAGICAL SPARKS FLY TRANSPORTERS,, SUSANN WILSON AND KIRK ALSPAUGH

I hired this company to pick up horse in Amberg, WI and deliver to Libby, Mt.. I was told they would pick him up in WI and come here, about a 3 day trip. He was picked up and I had no contact for 3 days, I thought he'll be here any minute. I began calling, texting and emailing Kirk AND Susan,,,,I have at the very least 22 unanswered texts from Kirk and Susan. that is just texts ! That doesn't include the daily phone calls they would not answer.. MY HORSE WAS ON THEIR TRAILER FOR 15 DAYS WITH OUT ME KNOWING WHERE THEY WERE... when they did answer I was told so many lies and excuses I could not fit them on this page, ..The owner told me she had no contact with Kirk ( her driver) but when I texted HER that I was turning them into the sheriff Kirk texted me in matter of minutes that the horse was not stolen. The more I investigate the more I see this is pretty normal behavior for them. DO NOT USE THEM AT ANY COST,,, YOU WILL BE SORRY

Terrible experience and never received the service but cost $600

This company (Susann) told us they would pick up the horses on the 1st and as of the 10th they had not picked them up. We had to overnight paperwork that cost us extra money, rush Coggins and Health certs which cost us extra money. We asked them for a date of arrival or we were canceling and then they refused to answer and of course, they will not refund the $600 we put on deposit. They claimed they were on their way but they had been telling us that since the 23 of the previous month. One of the biggest problems we had is that they refused to communicate with us or the communication did not make sense. They did send private messages through Facebook but they were written so bad we could not understand what they said. The ones we did understand never gave us a date for pick up, just a stall tactic. I called on the phone and no one every answered or returned the call. When they did communicate they said it was hard because they were writing on their phone. Hmmmm, maybe they just took a vacation on my money. I agree with the other lady - don't use them!!!

these people are HORRIBLE. They do NOT communicate, they tell you one thing (such as horse will be picked up on such and such a day OR delivered such and such a day) & then refuse to answer your calls, texts or msg's.

Your poor horse ends up being dragged all over the country and you have NO idea where it is or if it's even alive.

Susan is NOT nice - she has as much customer service presence as a rattle snake! DO NOT USE THEM unless you have NO care or concern for your horse!!!

DO NOT USE MAGICAL SPARKS FLY / AKA MAGIC TRANSPORT!

Had the same experience with Magical Sparks Fly aka Magic Transport. Susann Wilson is very unprofessional! She is very hard to get a hold of but when you miss a call from her you get an *** chewing for not answering the phone. Waited 30 days for them to pick up a horse from Illinois and is now going to take about a week for him to get to Arizona...why might you ask? Because there is only 1 driver and he is going out of his way to pick up his truck that broke down in San Antonio, TX; as well as picking up and delivering more horses that they can find on the way. Mind you after he picked up my horse he went to pick up a yearling filly that has to stay on the trailer until they make it all the way back to Montana to her destination! Where will these horses be while the driver is sleeping?! Stuck on the trailer?! Not to mention they do not disinfect the trailer before your horse is put on nor the hanging water buckets and the trailer smells horribly of urine. They also do not put any sawdust in the trailer so the likelihood of your horse slipping or getting kicked by your horse's neighbor because there are no stud walls is very high. If it were my call I would have not put my horse on the trailer as it was the buyers call but never again will I allow this to happen!!

Sorry for you experience...I had them haul a mare from AZ to Montana..They were prompt and professional. She was loaded calmly.

Trailer was clean as could be as there were other horses on trailer.

Fresh fodder and water in clean buckets was in trailer. Info on mare traveling and destination was given ...I will be using them again in a few weeks to move my TB gelding to IDAHO

Don't Use This Company - Very Unprofessional!

Susann Wilson is completely unprofessional and should not be transporting horses or dealing with people. She can not communicate. 99% of the time I had to ask her when he would be picked up and for updates on my horse while he was being transported. Not to mention there was delay after delay in him getting picked up (5 days to be exact). There were a of couple times she wouldn't respond when I asked her a question. When they were about 1 hr away from arriving in Appleton, WI (in Stevens Point, WI) she text me asking for directions. I had never been to Stevens Point at the time that they were driving through so wasn't sure how I could help, but looked up on Google Maps and told them what highways to take. It is very simple by the way. She even stated that she asked for directions and the guy at the gas station told her to stay on the same highway I told her to. About an hr or so later she called me and started screaming at me on the phone because according to her, I "gave her bad directions" and her "brand new Garmin" wasn't working, their phones weren't working and it was my job to give them directions. First, I didn't give her the wrong directions, they missed their turn and blamed me. Second this past weekend we drove that same route and our "old Garmin" didn't freak out, not once, it gave us perfect directions. Our phones also worked just fine. And if you are transporting horses maybe you should map out your route before you leave! And use a map as a back up! I hired Susann to transport my horse with the expectation that she would find her way and deliver my horse. It's not my job to give her directions. When she gets into town, sure I can help with that. How does she expect customers to give directions when traveling through a state they've never been to? Besides I gave her the right directions. She charged me another $100 even though no where in the contract does it state she can do that. I paid it because I feared for my horse's safety. After she finished screaming at me over the phone she handed it to her cousin John and I asked him "do you have a map?" And he said "Yeah I have a map". What am I suppose to say to that?! If you have a map, read it and stop bothering me! How is this my fault?? She demanded that they see the receipt for the $100 which required me to drive home from the barn. She also didn't know how much I had paid up front and said she would need to see the invoice for that. How unprofessional and irresponsible! My horse did finally arrive and seemed healthy and fine. Let me just add that they picked him up at 11 pm and delivered him 1 am the next day. The drive was only 9 hrs but somehow it took them over 24 hrs to drive 9 hrs? When I asked if there was any hay left or if he ate it, they said he ate it all. I had sent a whole bale of grass hay and there is no way he ate that whole thing! He isn't a fan of grass hay and mostly picks at it (he prefers alfalfa). This company lies and they don't know how to communicate. If they mess up they will blame you and rip you off. I don't know if they are crooks or are just plain ***. I really would guess the latter....please save yourself the stress and don't hire Magical Sparks Fly Horse Transporter. I wrote a comment on their Facebook page but of course it was deleted right away. I also sent her an email saying I didn't appreciate the way I was spoken to. I never once received an apology for the way she screamed at me. I have many, many equine friends and contacts across this country and I will tell everyone I know my story. I will never refer this company to anyone who is looking to transport a horse.
