I have an older 4 cell mag light. The bulb burned out so you sent me a conversion kit with a new bulb. The light works but is significantly less bright than my 3 cell light. Also, it won't focus on a small, concentrated beam like the 3 cell. Is there a solution ????

Very sad day

Mag Instrument - Very sad day
Mag Instrument - Very sad day
The wife got me a Maglite AA cell flashlight in the last year or so. I have Maglite flashlights that are 20 plus years old.... this one is... (was) led, first for me from Maglite, I have to say that it is not any better than the cheap stuff you get from harbor freight. 2nd set of batteries and when I turned it on it was bright fa split second then dim like it had dead batteries. I cleaned, polished and made sure no corrosion and no improvement. Tried over and over and finally it quit working altogether. Real problem is that the led won't come out to be replaced. I have a harbor freight led that I left in a deep freeze for 4 days in the on position and it was still on and working when I found it today but not the Maglite. Very disappointing. I have not tried to warranty but should not have to, stuff should work as intended. Better spending a couple of bucks at harbor freight or one of them than 20 on something that no longer lasts 25+ years like it should. I'm over 50 and still have Maglite flashlights around from when I was a teenager!

User's recommendation: Try harbor freight. Never been a fan but after 6 or so years it is still working.

I suggest that a better product that doesn't fail. Of my many Maglite products over the years this happens to be the first that sucks. I have bought them for every vehicle I have owned, every child I have ever had and every house I have lived.

Dishonest Company

Update by user Sep 07, 2019

No contact from Maglite to date. They are a bottom of the barrel Company.

They do not stand behind their product even with their Lifetime Warranty.

They offered to replace broken flashlights for twice the cost as I could purchase them on Amazon as a regular buyer. DO NOT EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS SLIMEBALL COMPANY.

Maglite does not stand behind their products. Returned 2 Flashlights under warranty. Cost me $20 in postage to return. Will not honor their warranty. Offered to replace flashlights at TWICE the amount I could purchase them for on Amazon. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MAG PRODUCTS.

Maglite does not stand behind its product

I bought 2 Maglite XL200 led flash lights in 2013. Within 6-8 months both flashlights failed with the same problem. the on switch started to short and then failed and would not turn on. I sent both flash lights back to Maglite in the same box. The fixed one flash light but said it was not really their problem but that they fixed it anyway for me at no charge. The 2nd flashlight they said that the Duracell batteries (that came in in it) failed and ruined the flashlight and I was out of luck! These flash lights are $35 each. I bought 2, both failed in 8 months, same problem. I called and talked to people all the way up to Anthony Maglica's mistress that runs the front office and I was shut down on every attempt to get them to do the right thing by their customers. Maglite does not stand behind their known defective products! Do not buy MagLite's
