MY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE: I'll stick with them for the next purchase!

I got engagement diamond ring from MA Jewelry Designs about a month ago. The fiance loves the ring, simply beautiful.

Getting a cushion cut center diamond was a little risky since the outside diamonds on the band are round, but the contrast adds a uniqueness to the entire ring. So unique that the friend of mine who had a jewelry store years ago I took the ring to get "examined" was met with "I've never seen this type of setting before!". The rarity of the entire ring makes it all the more special.

And now my short-term plan is to get a couple of nice earrings from the same company. Thanks MA Jewelry!

I love this ring

I love this ring, paired with my halo pave diamond engagement ring, also from M A Jewelry Designs. This eternity ring is the lowest-domed ring of all the diamond rings on the site and probably of the rings you could find elsewhere, so it is a perfect fit for halo rings that tend to be a little oddly shaped - I didn't want to get a wedding ring that was "fitted" to my engagement ring so that I could wear the wedding ring alone, and this eternity ring is perfect, beautiful and shiny alone! I can't stop staring at my fingers!

Please see my original complaint made on Oct. 8, 2012 as well as the comments :

Unbelievable!!!!! We didn't even get engaged until late September and returned the ring to be repaired two weeks later!! THEY AGREED TO MAKE AN ACCEPTION TO THEIR POLICY SINCE THE RING THAT I CHOSE AND LOVED, WAS LITERALLY FALLING APART!!! On top of that, the ring was in MA JEWELRY DESIGNS POSSESSION FOR 3 WEEKS!!! LONGER THAN I HAVE EVEN WORN IT!!! I only wore the ring for a total of 13 days and have already lost multiple stones!! AND TO IMPLY THAT I'M GOING TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO A RING THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY SAID THEY WONT TAKE BACK IS BEYOND ABSURD!!!

My sister also had her ring made from M.A Jewelry last year in New York, and she really speaks bad about her experience, only that she isnt the type who fights for her rights, even if she has been treated unfairly.Anyway, i'm glad you did , and exposed these fraudsters..happy engagement

Dear Sheri,

In response to your review I think we need to clear up certain terms that Ross agreed to with this sale. First, Ross asked that a CZ be set in the ring, that a real diamond would be set there at a later time.

It was made clear to Ross that this was a final sale, it could not be returned or exchanged for any reason. I was very specific when I asked him if he was absolutely sure he wanted to proceed and he agreed. I stated to him that since this mounting has pave diamonds in the prong head that it might be in his best interests to have me set a diamond in the ring, whether he bought this stone from me or not, and I would do this service free of charge. I do not recall having said on the phone or written in an email that I would replace this ring three months after purchase since this is an offer I would never make, no jeweler would.

This ring was shipped May 31, 2012 and received June 1, 2012. This means from June 1, 2012 the ring was in Ross’s possession and we did not receive it back until late September with very vague instructions to simply replace this ring with a different model. The claim that it has “only been worn 10 days” is not entirely an accurate one on your part. When someone wants to take no responsibility for damaging a ring they will say virtually the same thing.

I cannot take responsibility for something that has been out of my possession for three months and most likely on your hand for that entire time. I stated to Ross on the phone there is a lifetime guarantee on that ring, if the stones come out I will fix it however it is also your right to take the ring to another jeweler if you feel they will provide you better service but be warned that this voids any warranties I offer.

This decision entirely up to you and Ross but we resent the fact that you decided to make a slanderous complaint on an internet forum, we provided you the same service our other customers have been thankful for. Now if you are deliberately damaging this ring to bolster your claims then we have no other business to discuss.

Well, I'm the one that posted this review. They promised to exchange my ring and then refused.

Fixed and returned my ring.

I've worn it for one week...3 SMALL STONES FALLEN OUT!!! TERRIBLE WORKMANSHIP!

Nick purchased the ring he pictured on this complaint, we shipped to him in Australia where he kept it for the FULL 30 day return period and then some until he decided on returning it. When we received the ring he then emailed us stating that the card he had used in the original purchase was lost/missing/stolen and he requested we refund his money to a different card.

It is our policy to refund only through the card used in the purchase and if his card was in fact missing or stolen the card provider would issue him a check or credit a new card. HE REFUSED TO LET US DO THIS. He insisted on either making the refund on a second card or transferring the money through paypal. Now we could do this but he could still make the chargeback through the original card and we'd be out 2 times the amount, so at the advice of our merchant processor we let him file a chargeback, which he did, and he got his refund.

Had he just let us make the refund the way we're supposed to he wouldn't have waited at all. Instead he created his own problem that there was nothing we could do but wait for him to make the chargeback.

MA Jewelry Designs Sells Undisclosed Fracture Filled Diamonds

MA Jewelry Designs Sells Undisclosed Fracture Filled Diamonds

My fiance bought a diamond ring from MA Jewelry Design mostly based on the good reviews from Amazon. They offer discounted diamond rings that appear to be a great deal. The main diamond came loose after 9 months of owning it and this sometimes happens with diamonds. We took it in to a jewelry store to tighten the diamonds and we also got an appraisal at this time. We were shocked to find out the main center stone was a fracture filled diamond which was not disclosed to us at the time of purchase. The carat weight was also much smaller than what the MA Jewelry Design website claimed. The overall total carat weight was also smaller than what was claimed. The clarity was the lowest grade because of the fracture filled diamond. Also the appraisal they send with the rings are complete BS and phony. The Gemological Institute of America refuse to issue certificates for fracture-filled diamonds. The fact is that the seller is in violation of Federal Law because they have failed to CLEARLY disclose the FACT that the diamond they listed for sale was FRACTURE FILLED - they merely say that it is "enhanced" and that has been determined by the Federal Trade Commission not to be adequate disclosure of treatment.

Beware of what you buy online as there nothing as a free lunch. Since MA Jewelry Design only has a 30 day return policy- get your rings appraised AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE IT. Be aware of what they mean when you see "CLARITY ENHANCED"- which means laser drilling or fracture filling. You need to be aware if you are buying a fracture filled diamond. This is a huge concern because if another jeweler works on a fracture filled diamond without knowing it is fracture filled- the diamond can shatter.

We contacted MA Jewelry Design about our concerns and all they did was email us back defending their phony appraisal saying our appraisal was crooked and that it is really hard to estimate the actual carat weight. REALLY?????? I wouldn't buy from this company again unless you are willing to pay less for a glass filled diamond that shatter at any time. Or you like expensive costume jewelry. $4000 is still a lot of money to spend on a piece of junk. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the product MA Jewelry Design sells and more DISAPPOINTED by their response and customer service. Save your money and buy from a jewelry store. DO NOT BUY FROM MA JEWELRY DESIGN!

This "piece of junk" that Kaina supposedly received wasn't too junky for her to wear for a whole year before this problem arose. Like Logan, Kaina here has no understanding of the regulations the FTC publishes.

The FTC clearly states in their regulations that if a diamond being sold online has been enhanced it should say so within the item's description. We mentioned the diamond's enhancement twice on the item page. Also FTC regulations ARE NOT LAW, the FTC is not a law enforcement organization. Implying that we are "in violation of Federal Law" is paramount to slander.

Basically Kaina's complaint is a mirror of the complaints her boyfriend Logan has been posting, the difference it she has less of a clue about the situation that he does.

We made our offer to resolve this, they instead refused it and began posting these EXACT complaints wherever they could. There is no reason this matter couldn't be resolved, if they had been willing to discuss this personally on the phone instead of hiding behind anonymous posts full of misinformation trying to generate sympathy over the fact that both individuals were never willing to negotiate.

I am so pleased with the customer service I received from M A Jewelry Design.

I am so pleased with the customer service I received from M A Jewelry Design. I ordered a bracelet and it was due to arrive while I was out of town.

I immediately notified the company via email and within minutes I received a personal response from Chris. He prioritized my order and ensured that it was delivered to me before I went out of town. Chris kept me informed throughout the entire process. I was extremely concerned about having the package sitting by my door while being away.

The service could not be more professional and efficient. I highly recommend this company.

MA Jewelery Designs Doesn't Disclose Fracture Filled Diamonds

M.A. Jewelery Desings sells diamonds at what seems to be a good price. They say that their diamonds are "Clarity Enhanced", but they neglect to disclose that their diamonds have been drilled out and the holes filled with glass or wax in a procedure called Fracture Filling. This means that your diamond could suddenly break during a routine repair, and over time it could discolor or even break during normal wear. Something you might like to know about???

In addition, they send an appraisal with their diamond, and the appraisal will support all the carat, clarity, and color measurements they told you about when you bought it. However, when I had mine independently appraised, there were significant differences. My diamond ring was over 1 carat less than what I believed it was when I bought it. The color and clarity were so much less than what they told me.

My independent appraiser gave me an appraisal that was $15,000 less than what MA Jewelry told me. When I contacted them, they said the fracture filled was no big deal, then denied everything I told them about. They refused to do anything about it other than give me another fracture filled diamond.

If you buy from them make sure you fully ask for all disclosure and see if the diamond is fracture filled. And then get it appraised by an independent appraiser and see what they say.

If Fracture Filled is not a big deal, then why isn't it just written on their website?

Logan purchased a diamond engagement ring that was fully disclosed on the item description as per the FTC regulations that Logan has a very limited knowledge of. He and I spoke on the phone in regards to this, he was informed of all aspect of the diamond he was buying.

He and his girlfriend started making these smear posts a day before we were able to make him a restitution offer, an offer he flatly rejected.

This offer was to replace this center diamond which the Better Business Bureau thought was a very fair resolution. Logan and his girlfriend would rather post these widely inaccurate stories about how we refused them anything instead of simply talking to us and trying to resolve the issue.
