Be careful with the new name of this bastards. I did the "test shoot" today and at the and they ask me 200£ for the copyrights of the pictures promising me the same things like everyone before me here. I'm lucky i'm poor as church mouse and i did not give them the money telling them tomorrow i'll find. I did my research and Voala i found this page. M0del Agency Modeling Service Review from Walsall, Walsall

Went to Birmingham studio only to realise that it was a total scam. Waited for almost a hour before my child had photos taken & then was advised that we had to wait to view photos & be told whether child was successful or not. When I questioned this both photographer & other staff got quite defensive saying it was normal procedure, they basically made out that if we didn't view pictures my child wouldn't be selected. At this point I realised that it was a scam & they were only interested in us viewing the photos so could sell to us. My child is already with a reputable agency and has been for past couple of years & I know from them that is NOT normal procedure. A parent does not choose the photos the agency wish to use on there website. The photographer had no tact at all & his behaviour towards my child was unacceptable. Staff were rude & very unprofessional at this studio. This agency is a total SCAM & should be avoided at all cost.

I couldn't disagree more. The studio in Birmingham belongs to studio 97 photography.

They hire out rooms to other photography studios to use that perhaps don't have their own studio and also to modelling agency's to use. I went there with my son after being accepted for a test shoot with model agency.

Yes, I paid for a portfolio but this was paid to studio 97 photography. I haven't paid anything to model agency.

My sons model profile is now live and we are just waiting.

I found all staff to be Busy but friendly.

This agency are *** scammers. My poor daughter & son-in-law ave just been scammed out of £300.

They play on people's love for their children & babies. It is disgraceful that companies like this get away with it and are not investigated!!!!

I know how they feel, we paid £700 for our two children to have 10 photos each for a 'portfolio'. The agency never contacted us I had to chase them through the the photographers (probably same company).

When I put it to them that they're a scam the male on the phone flatly denied it & said they were seperate from the photographers & that I could go on their website & see the jobs that had come in & put my children forward for them? Probably all fake castings too!! So gutted I didn't see through them at the time but like you say they fill u with BS about ideal for modelling they are & how all photographers charge the same price etc etc.

It's only after when you start piecing things together you realise you've been had! The photos are brilliant I have to say, they are not worth £700 though

Model Agency is a scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Model Agency will invite you to a test shoot, take forever to do the shoot, say you have been successful then tell you that a portfolio is needed for signing. The portfolio will cost a small fortune and is not necessary. Stay away. This company will not find you work. The photographic studios are all part of the scam, including those in London, Bristol and Manchester. Children do not need portfolios and any legitimate agency will charge only a token amount for any photos needed for advertising. I was scammed by this company (previously advertising as M0del Agency and before then as Adora) and want to stop others being conned too.

M0del agency

I think the model agency will be changing their name again after ppl read these comments. My son has also been ripped off,(well that's what they think) I delayed the payment for the pics as I didn't get paid for another two weeks. A couple of days after the shoot I thought the whole proses to be a bit fishy, I did a bit of digging and found my thoughts to be right. I gave the studio a ring and told them I wish to excersise my rights to cancel ( as it states on the bottom of the pre contract, I have 14 days to cancel) I was to,d by a woman called Lisa I'm unable to cancel, I was in the bank at the time cancelling the standing order, I even put the woman from the bank on the phone (I was recording the call) when she told her I am able to cancel. I called the studio agave later that day to be told someone will call me back, I refused and aske for a more senior member of staff. The manager came to the phone and he also telling me I can not cancel. When I mentioned that I'd spoken to the ombudsman he changed his tune. He said he will call me back (this hasn't happened) my sone profile for the agency has since been removed, I have screen shots of all emails, etc I have stopped all standing orders and put block on my account. They won't take you to court, they'll just threaten you. It wouldn't be worth the hassle on their part, nor the risk of exposing their own scam to the courts to pursue you. Don't pay them a penny.

Good experience with the agency

We were invited to the Birmingham branch and we fully enjoyed the day from start to finish. I bought 5 pictures for 25 each and they are on the agency website. Two days later I got an email asking my daughter to attend a casting in London. We could not get to London however the agency must be doing their job. The fact is the pictures are not free and the agency do not say they will be free from the start. What is that saying ? Oh nothing in life is free. This is my honest opinion. And my research tells me no agency will give you a free portfolio.

Unfortunately you've still be scammed regardless of experience.

You don't need a portfolio for your child to start modelling.

And I can guarantee if you have been able to make the casting they would've cancelled last minute.

Do you think any reputable company would be associated with this 'agency'? Never. Not when there are hundreds of great agencies with fabulous reputations.

Don't be fooled into thinking companies will approach this agency for models.

Try joining Facebook groups dedicated to Childrens modelling and get real, accurate advice from people that know.

I was advised that the agency would guarantee work for my son after I paid hundreds of pounds for a few pictures and I haven't heard anything from this agency. Total scam! Avoid at all costs! When you call them they don't even answer their phone, I requested a report off all they have been doing in order to secure my son an audition and in 2 months they haven't done anything! M0del Agency Modeling Service Review from London, England

M0del Agency UK Absolute scam!! Money takers! Please no one go to NYC Studios (Manchester, Shoreditch or any other branch) I should've known better as I'm 21 but I went to have some photos taken back in Feb 2016. Got to the place in Shoreditch and it was a tiny compact studio in the some basement. Took the photos which lasted about 10 minutes. Went to have a look at the pictures afterwards to be told I was successful. By this point I was too happy and excited (gullible) that I agreed to pay for the photos but I didn't realise they wanted £600 until I got home. What was strange was the guy who took my payment details down asked how much I earned and asked if I paid rent or mortgage, insurance etc and basically calculated my income to see if I could afford to pay the photos which was wrong. Told my dad and he rang up the main studio which X is based in Manchester and the *** of a manager said we can't cancel cause I've signed a contract bla bla. Now if I'm not mistaken I thought with any contract you're allowed a 14 day cooling off period where you could cancel that but not with this agency. In the end they reduced the payment to about £580 which is still a lot of money. THEN I thought I was paying for prints so when I rang up again apparently I didn't ask for prints just a *** disc with pictures on. So I basically paid £500 odd quid for a fuxking (excuse my French) disc with pictures on which I was livid about. In fairness it was my fault and I should've listened and paid attention to these sort of things but it was my first time doing something like that and I was just excited. But this is still a scam in my opinion...that's they're way bringing you in and you can't back out. So anyone who goes to these things PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read the contract carefully before you end up paying £600 for a *** disc with pictures

I also reported this and will give update on this once it's been looked in to , but more people need to report this company to trading standards as more complaints they may take action.

Do not recommend this Model Agency one bit!

I was under the impression my little boy was going to be taken care of when i spoke to a lady on the phone but the company miss represents them selves. Beware you are only going for a photo shoot this is all the company do then soon as the photo shoot has ended they charge you £400 for 10 images on a disco and the cost can go up to 4k. The offer finance packages which are a total scam for what they offer. I cancelled my appointment and till 20 working days later still no refundable deposit as per the terms and conditions. I would totally not recommend this company steer clear if you want to be robbed.

M0dels Agency = Adora = Blackberry

Adora Models is closed now as is Blackberry, and they have opened a new scamming platform called "M0dels Agency" (note there's a zero in the word 'm0dels' and not an 'o'). They even claim to belong to the EUMA, the "European Union Modeling Association" which does not have an address or a telephone number, just like the "M0dels" agency doesnt have any!! These *** people have also gone *** lengths to cover their scam, by registering euma in the UK (just like blackberry, adora and m0dels): www.euma.org.uk!! They have a facebook page a website a telephone number even listed, but there's no office address. They temporarily rent out a place in your city and carry out shoots, aiming to collect from at least 10% of the models (innocent victims), but that's it, you will never hear from them after they've taken your money. WARNING TO ALL: PLEASE STAY CLEAR FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS!!

I am so glad that I have come across this forum as I was thinking of applying for my 2 children who I am forever being told would make great models as they are caucasian/italian and not to seem biased are absoloutely stunning! but as we have previously been scammed by Adora models and the horrid Anthony Jones, I though I would do my due diligence in this agency that keeps appearing on my FB newsfeed before disclosing any personal information and my children's images via the simplistic application form on their website, and posting on here for you all to read.

And am I glad that I did!! You never know who these sick people may be, seems to me like it's a sad ugly *** named Anthony that doesn't seem to get enough of exploiting young children and proud parents. Sickening to say the least!!

Having read all the comments online I also decided to dig a little further into the domain registrations on who.is and found that this is yet another company of the scamming b**** Anthony Jones and his side piece Nicola Jones. Although the domain name for m0del is registered firstly by James Wilson (same as blackberry) it was then changed to Katherine Elliott after this thread was started?

I decided to check the EUMA site (a European regulator yet the website is a .co.uk?) and lo and behold, it is registered to NICOLA JONES (same as adora)

I then decided to call this so called agency at the beginning of this month, and said that I was outside their registered office (having already determined it was a serviced office having called the proprietors and confirmed no agency was registered there) and if she could describe the building I needed to enter in order to come see someone face to face and as there are a few buildings I was unsure which to enter. She could not describe the building despite saying she was in the building? Instead I was told that she only deals with inbound calls and if I wished to arrange a drop in I would need to email her 'managers'.

I then called back a day later and said that I was booked in at the Birmingham studio and wanted their name, I was told Studio 94 and she kept asking me for my name to locate my details!

I quickly ended the call. I then had two friends call regarding the Manchester and London Studio's and they were given the names "Studio 44" and "the studio is in Shoreditch on Bricklane" when pushed for the address my friend was told quite abruptly "the details are on the confirmation email you will have received after booking" to which my friend stated she was due in in 15 minutes and her battery had died on her handset so was unable to confirm the address. She was then told "its 208 and the studio is called shoreditch studio"

I googled shoreditch studio and obtained the following website details: www.shoreditchstudios.com/

with their address being : SHOREDITCH STUDIOS, 37 BATEMANS ROW, LONDON EC2A 3HH Definitely not 208 Brick lane!! I then called back and recorded the voice of the girl that answered whilst stating that I have previously been scammed by Adora and if she could provide me with details of any jobs their models had completed to which she stated that she doesn't deal with that side of things and therefore I would need to email her manager Chrissy, however she does know that they have jobs in from Argos, Toys'R'Us and Boss Kids.

I subsequently contacted all 3 companies and they stated they have never heard of the agency in question and most definitely have not approached them with any jobs! I then listened to the voice recording I had from my last call to Adora before they stopped answering any calls and subsequently removed their number from their website (0203291****), and again the one from M0del (who are now modelagency.uk.com??) and the voice was an exact match! Having looked into other reviews on the internet, I have determined that they have renamed their Manchester, London and Birmingham studios, however all reviews show that the paperwork that people have received is in the name of NYC Studios for all 3 studios. I am guessing that the studios in Bristol and Coventry (as well as the new studios mentioned above since we signed with Adora) are all under the same management of the vile Anthony Jones.

The above are my findings from a fortnight of repeated calls to this so called agency and extensive on line research! BEWARE OF THIS SCAM COMPANY!!!!!! THEY ARE IN CAHOOTS WITH THE STUDIOS AND ARE MOST DEFINITELY BENEFITING FROM THE MONEY WE WHO HAVE PAID FOR IMAGES!! I hope my findings will help stop any further innocent folk getting drawn into false promises and misrepresentation!!

I have also passed my findings and the call recordings on to the necessary authorities in an attempt to stop this vile peado ring from abusing the trust of aspiring models and their families!! Please protect your children and do not submit their images online, any reputable agency will be happy for you to drop in at their office and represent models with a headshot (no makeup) and a body shot (again no makeup) against a clear background. No portfolios are required!!

As I have not registered with the agency they cannot email me as they have others under the assumed name of Chrissy however if they locate my details on their Adora records I will most definitely be receiving an email from the vile creature called Anthony and his harem of sick perverted female employees who most probably have no kids of their own or they would not work for a company that is preying on children, and if they do they should hope and prey that their children do not fall prey to paedophiles like themselves (has anyone ever spoken to a male member of staff?? from all the reviews I have read, and each time I have spoken to anyone, it seems to be females only!) FINALLY - ANY ORGANISATION THAT APPOINTS A MANAGER WITH MEAGRE LITERACY SKILLS IS ONE TO AVOID AT ALL EXPENSES!!!

I've had some experience with these ppl. I delayed the payment as I don't get paired untill th end of the mth.

I called the London number to cancel, but was told I couldn't as I've already had the disc (pics). I became suspicious about this company so I started to do research, I can't believe how *** I have been giving them my bank details for them to take monthly payments.

(Lol I can't believe how *** they can be by giving me the disc of pics and I haven't even paid them) Anyway I'm off to the bank in the morning to cancel any payments going out to this company. Also I do online banking so I can monitor it myself.
