Fell for the 2nd oldest trick on the book.

Standard negotiations for a used car. When we got done after 5 hours, asked for the "out the door" price and wrote a cheque for that price. Weeks later, they called and said we owed them the $1500.00 down payment. When I said "Huh?" they said read the contract. Shame on me; I didn't, and they snuck it in. They said they would find out how this happened and would call us back. We've only heard crickets. My fault for thinking a car dealership can be trusted. Their fault for being slimy car sales.
