Verified ReviewerIssue phone numbers to diaper head scammers
- They issue numbers to scammers, and take no action on complaints.
- They won't provide an email or number to report activity.
- They are owned by Lumen nowadays.
They know they issue phone numbers to diaper head scammers and don't take any action when complaining. They even refuse to provide an email or phone number to report criminal activities with the numbers they issued.
Only way to fight these scammer supporters is calling local law enforcement and reporting them to the BBB.

Verified ReviewerCANNOT GET THROUGH TO ANYONE AT LUMEN REGARDING MY RETURNED PRODUCT.
- Cannot reach a human; wrong number was given.
- Return has been with Lumen since Oct 4.
- Waiting for refund and package acknowledgment.
I followed the instructions provided to return my product, there is absolutely zero ability to reach a human for return issues - and your employee gave me a wrong number when I called a THIRD TIME.
I am chasing my return for over a week, you have had it since OCT 4th in Lumen possession. I have just alerted American Express that this is fraud.
Tina Bandy, 35435 St.
Clair Drive, New Baltimore, MI 48047. 586.707.1182 is my ONLY phone number, apparently not on file, nor is my zip code which is actually hilarious.
I received it at my address, and returned it within one week.
If there is customer service at this company, can anyone please acknowledge the package I returned, as I am waiting for a refund. Thank you.
User's recommendation: dont buy it.
Poor to no service
- Poor management is affecting service.
- Experienced craft employees are leaving daily.
- Management should support Lumen's craft workers.
You provide service to several internet companies and you have poor management. Youre loosing experienced craft employees every day.
Ive started in the business in the late 80s and served with dispatch to outside plant. Worked with management up 5 state VP Fred Fouse. Worked from USWest to Quest and still talk to techs in Lumin and Century Link . Also spent 6 years on rural town board .
Lumen needs a better plan and management.
It is managements job to give the support to the craft workers who keep the system working. It would definitely raise stock prices and customer confidence..
Thanks

Spam/Fraud/Unwanted calls
- Unwanted calls from Level 3 Communications LLC despite Do Not Call status.
- Dozens of calls weekly, often outside hours.
- User asked to block the number.
I continue to receive unwanted/fraud/spam calls associated with Level 3 Communications LLC even though I am on the National Do Not call List. These calls are dozens per week and at odd hours of the day (mostly outside of business hours).
I have requested multiple times to have my number blocked. It appears the company is enabling fraudsters and con artists.

damn that sucks
So I hope this helps you understand what's actually going on here. Its not Level 3 communications calling you.
Its a scammer who is using what is called a phone spoofer. It allows them to appear as a company like Level 3 when they aren't its a super common practice and has nothing to do with the company themselves. So no they aren't enabling fraudsters and con artists.
A simple google search will confirm what I am talking about and I hope that helps in the future. Just block any numbers from them and try and ignore anything from these stupid scammers.
Not completely accurate. Level 3 Communications has had quite the history with the FTC regarding various matters, including complaints associated with the illegal telemarketing problems.
While it is true that Level 3 does not actually make the calls, but they provide basically a safe haven for illegal telemarketing operations by having the numbers registered and going to their network. This has been a problem for years and I am also a victim of their association with illegal overseas telemarketing scam centers. Attempts to get level 3 to stop catering to criminals has proved unsuccessful on the consumer level. Looking at their history online shows the constant problems that even the FTC could not always control.
Level 3 communications went under in 2017 and is now part of Lumen Technologies, but the illegal telemarketing operations - particularly out of Pakistan and the Philippines, still are very much active and Level 3 profits off of their number registration and network use. I am also on the federal do not call list but I received nearly 600 calls just in the past year alone. The majority the calling numbers are controlled by Level 3 and also Peerless Communications.
These are different than the spoofed caller ID numbers, which typically registered to spoofed numbers register to innocent people. Spoofed numbers are not typically hosted by companies like this as most spoofed numbers are actually assigned to real people and the carriers are responsible companies, usually cellular.
