What's the problem with the ac
For 15 days i had no ac,in the bella vita condos this apartment is under contract with L & S IN 15 DAYS THEY HAVE SEND 3 DIFFERENT MEN AND NOT ONE OF THEM HAS SEEN THE UNIT THE THE FIRST ONE LEAFT A CARD AND DID NOT KNOCK THE DOOR FOR TWO OF THE TENNANTS WERE INSIDE AND UPSTAIRS TENANT SAID THATS WHAT THEY DID REASON WHY WE DID NOT HEAR THE KNOCKING THE SECOND ONE SAID HE WAS TO FAT TO GO UPSTAIRS THE 3RD SAID HE NEEDED A 30 FOOT LETTER AND THATS NOT TRUE BECOSE WE HAVE MORE APARMENTS HERE AND ON OF THE APARMENTS AC WHENT DOWN A CALL WAS MADE AT 8AM THE TECH WAS HERE AT 10AM WITH A,5 OR 6 FOOTER AND WHENT UPTAIRS SAW IT WHENT TO HIS TRUCK TOOK WHAT HE NEEDED AND FIXED THE AC AND THAT WAS A COMPANY BY THE NAME OF PITBULL AC OF LAS VEGAS AND THE AC TECHS NAME WAS DERICK AND SO AS MUCH AS I TELL THIS BAD SERVICE I LIKE TO SAY TO DERICK FROM PITBULL AC LV THANKYOU FOR FIXING THE AIR AT APT 156 THANKYOU

L&S Air Conditioning & Heating-Phoenix, AZ Rip-Off Service
Experienced A/C problems and had L&S assigned to my work order by First American Home Warranty. With a person residing in the house with a medical condition requiring oxygen therapy, they responded 4 days later.
They diagnosed the problem as a compressor shorted to ground and recommended changing out the compressor from a Trane Roto Lock compressor to a R 22 Copeland scroll compressor w/o any modification to the indoor coil section! Might I add that the compressor was original and had been running for 21 yrs! I questioned the wisdom of this and was told a lie by the technician that the warranty company would not approve a unit change out. Quite simply, this method wouldn't have worked efficiently and presented future problems!
L&S only has to warrant a work order for 30 days and then walk away. They did show up 10 days later with a compressor to change out; however, they were going to expose the refrigerant lines to atmosphere and not install a liquid line drier, which is standard procedure for the industry! Furthermore, they were charging us $500 in up charges for items covered in my contract and wanted $200 more for the installation of a liquid line drier another covered component! I refused to allow L&S to perform this work and after protracted discussions with First American, another contractor assigned to the work replaced the system, outside and inside.
In conclusion, consumer beware as L&S Air Conditioning preys on people and takes advantage of their naivety! The bigger question is why First American Home Warranty utilizes such a shoddy company with a horrible reputation that only serves to tarnish their image as well!
Incompetence and Inability to Provide Service
Terrible service from L&S Air Conditioning. First American should not use this company.
Makes me question why we have a warranty company that provides lousy service contractors. L&S is unresponsive and incompetent. Been with First American for 15 years and never had such low quality service from anyone before. We have been without air conditioning for 4 weeks and L&S cannot keep an appt!
Their repairman, Anthony, doesn't know what to do with a compressor. Their other rep, Dom, is good and knowledgeable but I don't know how a company of this poor standard stays in business with First American referrals. I waited 2.5 hours (I know it sounds exaggerated but I'm serious as I had the time at my computer today to wait on speaker phone) and finally got through to Helen who was a lovely voice on the phone and helpful.
But I cannot wait like this again.

OMG, this is the worst company EVER. I put in a request via First American on Thursday.
The guy called on Sunday. He was here from Vegas to help out since it's so busy here in AZ. Um yeah, told me to leave the AC off for 3 hours so the compressor could cool down. Air worked for not even 24 hours.
I called first thing this AM after opening up another request. Now I call and nothing . . no answer, no ringing, nothing.
I am now on hold with First American as L&S told him the first availability would be Friday. What a joke.
Preferred solution: Full refund
Worst Service Ever!
This Company is extremely unprofessional and does not respond appropriately to calls. We were called and told we would have a Service appt.
to repair the issue and it is now a week later. When we call back to confirm the appt. there is no record and we are now told another day, but no timeframe. We have no confidence that the appt.
will be kept or that the staff are competent to do the repairs. This company was recommended by First American Home Warranty and we will file a formal complaint with them for using such a disreputable company.
We will now have to start with another vendor and likely have to make the repairs ourselves as the issue is now urgent. Terrible service from FAHW and the L&S Team!

, I've never work with a company like this you want to build a house in Bakersfield this people suck I guess 90 years old has Alzheimer's dementia and heart condition and nobody cares he was supposed to be here today with the part yesterday he had no part said he'd be here today and waited 5 days to get the service for days and they still haven't showed up and won't answer the phone talk to the guy he says I'll be there in 20 minutes never showed up talk to the office they said he was on his way it is now 8:30 at night no phone calls no answer to the his phone they need to be out of business Angela Williams

This joke of a company is in "cahoots" with First American Home Warranty. Oathetic service, lack of concern, took 8 days for a new compressor and still not fixed. Avoid both with your lives and your money!
Totally awful service
I was supposed to get both of my a/c worked on and the tech didn't appear until 5 days later. To top it off he was running over an hour late and he only service one a/c, now we are waiting when they are going to send someone to service the other a/c, we have no a/c upstairs where all the kids have their rooms.
Their phone is always busy and leaving here in arizona it has been hot.
Other a/c company have been great, but now the home warranty chose this L & S and they are by far the worst. Also bad customer service.

My place has been without AC for a week and a day and I live in phoenix which is 110 F on a casual day. They have the most *** service I have ever encountered.
There is just a voicemail when you call them and absolutely no way to get in contact with. They call you back when they find it suitable, three days or four it doesn't matter. And then they show up without giving a heads up. You might be out of house, they don't do ***.
They shouldn't be given stars. Their rating should be in *** for this business.

Lousy Service
Have warranty with First American Home warranty - Contractor was supposed to come on Friday - claims he came but nobody at home - contractor claimed they called 4 times (ya rite - not a single missed call) - rescheduled for Tuesday 10-3 - made it clear to call 30 mins before coming - called at 1 and they said they will call 30 mins before arrival. No call - contractor came - nobody at home. Truly shocking that they are still in business if they can't even make phone calls 30 mins before - forget fixing the AC - which they have come 4 times already in 12 months - but issue is not resolved yet.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

I live in Phoenix Arizona AC airhandler fan motor went out I called home warranty on 5/18/14 tell today not fixed they deal with worst ac company L&S air condition 3 service technician came so far and evryone said need to order parts. We have a Home warranty by Alliance ( for another 4 months) that uses l&s heating and air condition as a contractor . Our heat has been out for 3 weeks - one excuse after another - need part - must be special order { parts are in whearhouse 1/2 mile from there shop) I have a friend " Black my.
Heating and A/c who checked on parts there there for less than 25 bucks everyday.
I drove past there place of operations and should have stopped to confront l&s folks to get them off there ***. They (l&S) specialize in *** and non service .

I used L&S through my home warranty company, First American. L&S responded and fixed a broke compressor with my air conditioning, but there was a slight vibration that persisted for several weeks. It wasn't much, but 38 days after my A/C was repaired, it began to sound like there was a helicopter in my attic. I contacted First American, and they said they only guaranty their work for 30 days. So I called L&S, and they won't come back out, either. They said that without a work order from First American, they will not come back out to fix the work that they initially did.
Please know that L&S apparently doesn't stand behind their work unless you pay them more money for service calls. I don't care whether or not a warranty company is involved or not, a company either stands behind its work, or it does not.
L&S does not stand behind its work. I will never use them again.

I would twice about dropping the Home Warranty if L&S added any freon to your a/c. They used one that is not approved to be mixed with the one already in the a/c.
I found out the hard way.
The two freons (R-22 and R-407) cannot be mixed together but they do it. It will cause damage to your compressor.
I had a good experience with L&SAir conditioning. They fixed my compressor right away . They were very nice.
