Dangerously unsafe vehicle, awful communication

I have been horribly disappointed with Lowes of Larne, the vehicle I purchased in good faith over lockdown and on the basis of their good reputation turned out to have dangerously unsafe brakes, a bodged fix on damage to the sump and, possibly most shocking, an incorrect sized tyre fitted that damaged the tracking system. It cost over £2,500 and spent over a month in the shop just to get it on the road again legally. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, the issue has not been resolved. This company DO NOT respond to emails, communication is an absolute nightmare. They will answer the phone but only to give excuses, delay tactics and outright denial. They didnt even provide documentation for the vehicle until chased to do so, and still havent provided an owners manual, evidence of their 60-point check which should have identified the issues or even an MOT certificate. The AA warranty is not worth the paper its printed on. I genuinely believed we were past the days of car dealers behaving like this. Bought my second car here wont be buying a third both ball joints went after 2months nearly killing my partner and kids took it back after 1 month serious squeaks coming from car all they did was put a bolt in even had to wait 2weeks for that was told about noises from underneath said it was ok lowes motd the car for me i took it to nissan dealer they could not beleive it passed mot anyway 3months later i have bill for £700 to fix the problems warranty is a joke stay away from lowes and spend your hard earned money elseware

Lowes of Larne.stay away people wat a joke off a place.got a car havnt had it a year parts r missing when I het oil leak happens they break 4wd system when fixing oil leak there curtsey cars r wreck I even had to fix that my self when I had and the other time I got one I broke down at bottom off hill warning lights all over it.the mechanic came raves the car to I max.i think that was meant to fix it or go back to the future wasn't sure don't think he was.then I get my jeep back 4 weeks later after about to months in out with parts missing.still having problems end up fuel pump then another 2 pumps then heater plugs then a starts then the ignition then a battery then having to put 4 tires cuz the ones I got on it were all different sizes then brakes done now the oil pump went and wreck engine.the place is a joke scammers and your mechanics r buthers.in the wrong job you'd should work kfc or sum thing a*******

i had totally the opposite experience with Lowes of Larne, I bought elsewhere and was left seriously out of pocket, i bought a fantastic car from Lowes on collection i was shown the results from the inspection, what failed and what was changed even items that passed were changed as they were border line and to be honest the car worked like it was supposed to for a week. when disaster the clutch went, or what i thought, i made contact with Lowes, the car was collected and a courtesy car was left, after a few days i received a call telling me that the master cylinder had failed, not only did they replace the cylinder Lowes changed flywheel, and the full clutch assembly, and believe me when i went to collect the car i was shocked to hear that none of this was covered under warranty, Lowes informed me that although my warranty didn't cover the replacement of the parts i was assured that the repair would be at no cost as the car was purchased a week previously. since then the car has been driving well, took it back to Lowes for an MOT, the cost to me was the test fee. Lowes of Larne have provided me with excellent service, treated me with courtesy and provided in my opinion a fantastic after care, i will always give Lowes of Larne first opportunity when i purchasing a new car
