Promised energy savings of 25-35% on Heating and Air System

Love's Heating and Air of Severn, MD, through its agent - John Love, promised energy savings of "you should save 23-35% off your electric bills." After months (59 days) with their system and notification of the no savings, the company DECIDES to have the work inspected by the County. A service tech was then sent to inspect the system only to find not the proper charge from the factory as indicated on their service ticket. After we complained to the BBB and Maryland Heating and Air board, the company has lied in their response "that the customer was having work done at their house" (a lie) which is the response to the neglected inspection and the customer bought a new pool heater (a lie) and that it "runs 24/7" (a lie) which is their response to no energy savings. We are filing a civil suit to re-coup our losses. It is unfathomable that you can promise in writing, verbally, and in person at contract signing to energy savings which did not occur through any fault of us the consumer. Since we moved into our house we: replaced windows, added insulation, replaced the front door, replaced light bulbs to energy efficient models and were on the path to energy savings until we contracted with Love's Heating and Air who had no way to quantify savings let alone promise them...the company is poor at customer service and dispute resolution. After we complained on no energy savings, the company provided a home energy analysis; the result was our home was surprisingly "tight" and not allot of room for making more tight which is a bad result for Love's Heating and Air as they should have never sold us the system knowing our number one goal was to save money on our electric bills. Watch out - poor service, lies, false sales promise, rushed installation without quality control checks, and poor dispute resolution

Dont let it bug ya...As a heating guy myself I find that customers can be such jerks that they will do anything to get something for nothing. Customers..LOL JERKS

CIVIL TRIAL SET FOR 3/4/10...will post the results of this trial, which Mr. John Love will lose, on all of the internet complaint sites.

His actions are egregious and the mountain of evidence is overwhelming. We look forward to our day in court for a system that has not performed as promised and for the mistreatment of a paying customer.


Stay away from this company - they lie about their customer to try to solve their problems of false promises.

Watch out - unethical, lack of dispute resolution, having to file civil suit, lies, poor service, poor installation, shoody workmanship, no timely County inspection, etc...



The BBB complaint was closed as unresolved hence the C- rating for this company. The Heating and Air Board found that none of their laws were broken and suggested we file the civil suit.

Mr John Love is wishing, against the grain and common sense, that this matter goes away. Contrary to his neglectful thinking, the matter will be taken to the fullest extent of the law until the matter is decided in front of a judge.

There will be documentation of electric bills, witensses, and information brought to trial to prove his original and subsequent lies about his promise and his customer's problem. Stay tuned!!
