Problem during Student Days at Louisiana Renaissance Festival
- - A man was seen masturbating near the 'knock off the log' area.
- - Festival blamed outsiders and parents for not locating security.
My students and parents attended the school day at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival in 2005. I
want to alert you to a major problem that was
witnessed by some of my students and parents. There was a man masturbating in view of the
students. He was located by the "knock off the
log", to the left of this area, blocked by a small fence and portajohn. There was a small tree which did not hide the man. The mother reported that the eyes looked intoxicated. His pants were down to his knees. He had on a white or beige ruffled shirt, dark pants, and medium length bushy brown
hair. The mother said you could definetely see
his private parts. She tried to locate a policeman but was unable to do so. When we contacted the festival to notify them of the problem they blamed attempted to blame it on someone outside the festival and the parent for not trying harder to locate security. I would encourage parents, that if they attend this event they watch their children carefully.
