Pissed off scammer Bait & switch

Try to imagine a hotel at a flea market: friendly, old, overpriced, unreliable, weird. That is exactly what this is. Also, notice that almost all of the positive reviews are within two months of each other in Feb/March/April of 2011, the other reviews are spread out over years. Also, prices are per person with a three person minimum. This is a "friendly boutique mom and pop hotel with a great location", adjacent to several of the first monday areas (Old Mill/Mountain/The Village), across the street from dog alley, about a mile from other areas. This is a clean place walking distance from almost all of first monday. I recommend Saturday night when the Mountain is open and has music, Thursday the area is dead. A shuttle runs during business hours (9 to 5) between the first monday areas. Distances between are easily walkable if you are in reasonable shape (but be careful crossing road, several people die each year unrelated to hotel...). Now, for a flea market hotel, rough board floors, several broken mirrors with hand-routed frames, loud AC unit right above the bed, clock which isn't set, TV and refrigerator which don't work. Microwave which is difficult to work. Corrugated tin roof/ceiling. Coka-Cola peg board coat hanger, old magazine pages for art. Full sized beds, not queen. Silk Flower arrangement. Open pot potpourri warmer (gave everything a waxy feel but an OK smell). Nice giant fluffy multi-colored towels, no washcloths or shampoo. Purple leopard print sheets. Small piles of detritus in the parking lot. Host's well practiced response to issues: That's weird, let me look at that. Might have been the storm last night.... I paid and left without a sincere complaint, other residents had issues as well. The Hotel served my purpose which was to have a room and breakfast walking distance from First Monday. And, I will certainly be laughing about this place for long enough to make up the difference in price
