Verified ReviewerYou should be ashamed of yourselfs, you...
- - Strawberries were $1.77/pint in Quebec but mushy and wasted.
- - Disability income of $2,060/mo makes groceries hard; supplier hasn't replied.
You should be ashamed of yourselves; you are a Canadian-born and raised company.
I am a 3rd generation born and raised Canadian.
Who used to love shopping at your stores on a weekly basis.
Until COVID came to Canada and everywhere else.
I live in rent-geared-to-income housing and make $2,060 a month through disability.
When I had a full-time job, it was no problem shopping at your stores.
Now my complaint for today is.
At one of your stores on the Quebec side, strawberries started at $1.77 for a pint; that's amazing.
But this is the second week that I've had to waste the strawberries and throw them in the garbage.
Because they were not edible. I sent an email to your supplier but have not received an answer.
I have multiple health issues: a family doctor and seven specialists.
And I am only allowed to eat certain foods, and I love fruit.
So I said, well, under two bucks for a pint of strawberries at Loblaws.
If I'm not mistaken, produced in Florida. I opened the packages and they were all mushy and squishy and, to use the word, garbage.
I am going to be 64 years old this year.
And I would really like to enjoy fruits and vegetables and other groceries from your stores: No Frills, Superstore, etc.
But sometimes even those stores I can't afford their prices.
Sometimes you need to get off your high horse and think about the little people.
That don't work for the federal government or lawyers, doctors, accountants, city employees.
I believe in karma; before I was an adult, I did a lot of bad things.
But since 2020, I've had two cases of cancer, kidney disease, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and many other things.
I'm not asking you to feel sorry for me; I'm a big boy.
I just wonder if you realize how many of us are out there in Canada.

- Canadian company used to make me very proud
- Became very very expensive
Preferred solution: Lower price is great, but terrible food is not. Especially when you, can't afford to throw out food.

Verified Reviewer |Country of origin
- - Requests clear country-of-origin labeling online, specifically NOT A PRODUCT OF THE USA, for groceries.
Since I have decided to purchase items with no connection to the USA (product of... made in...
etc.), I, and probably the majority of Canadians, would prefer if, when shopping for groceries online, this is made perfectly clear that the products I purchase are not, in any way, associated with the USA. I will purchase products from any other country. Please ensure that this is advertised as to the country of origin so that we Canadian shoppers can make informed decisions when shopping. I even stipulated that the 'shopper' insure they check the labels (which should be clearly indicated - but not shown online so I can't make that distinction).
The shopper did not do this.
Please give me back my power to choose by indicating 'NOT A PRODUCT OF THE USA' or at least the country of origin.
Thank you.
Preferred solution: proper 'screen shot' of 'product of..." when shopping on-line

Poor store layout leading easily to pilfering
- - Could not access wedding cards due to railings near doors.
- - Told a cashier; Angela at the PC info desk got me info to contact you.
I was shopping at Loblaw s collingwood and had extra time. Decided to look at wedding cards.
Thought I would go directly to cards before shopping as I knew they were close to the doors. Due to railings I could not get to the cards. Did all my shopping a $100.00 + order then thought again to look at the cards before I cashed out. Walked all past all cashiers with my cart and then looked at cards.
It was then I realized I could probably wheel my cart full of groceries out the door without even paying. I did not do this but instead told one cashier who really was not interested. next I saw Angela at the PC info desk.
Talked to her about all this and she went to get me info to ease my contacting you. Those cards should be placed somewhere within the store so customers can go through them before cashing out.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Extremely Poor Customer Service
- - Purchased Nov 18: Zwilling toaster from Loblaws PC Express; charged upfront, shipped late and arrived defective, prompting a refund request.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund.
I emailed PC Express several times over the next few days but to no avail, they simply gave me no information on my purchase, I even emailed Zwilling but was told to contact Loblaws. Following much frustration and a week or more passing the item was finally shipped which I received two weeks after my purchase date. Upon receiving this I attempted to put this toaster into action but alas, nothing but problems. The operation buttons would not work independently as they should, consequently, I could not operate just one of the slots without both lighting up.
The mechanical buttons are a real problem when you try to depress them the toaster tips over unless you hold the back which is impossible when it is hot, and currently, the toast lifters are continually riding up and down, the motor is running continuously when plugged in, so this toaster is absolutely useless and I have asked for a full refund.
Once again I have been in touch with Loblaws and PC Express requesting a refund on this defective unit but have just been given the runaround, each time I was told the issue was being escalated. This is absolute nonsense, the item is defective and I am fully entitled to a refund both by Loblaws policy and indeed the law.
Regards,
Chris Robbins.

Verified Reviewer |Applying for a job with your company
- - Cannot apply; Manitoba postal code rejected during sign in.
- - Tried different postal codes; none match province.
I am trying to apply for a job with your company but cannot get your site to accept my postal code, it says it is not a Manitoba postal code. I checked it and I am not filling it in improperly. hard to apply for a job with your company if you cannot get past the sign in?
I want to know if I am the only one having this issue or is this a thing for everyone, I even tried different postal codes, but none of them are from the province I live in apparently?
If someone can get back to me to explain why I am having this issue it would be much appreciated!
- Very good company
Preferred solution: I want an answer as to why I cannot apply online for a job with your company

Verified ReviewerTerrible treatment
- - Loyal customers say a heart med refill wasn't filled.
- - Pharmacists said there were at least 50 others.
- - The prescriptions were transferred and filled.
I am not looking for a refund. My family have been very loyal customers at the Real Atlantic Superstore in Lower Sackville Nova Scotia since it opened.
We all bought our perscriptions there all this time but you have lost most of us and probably all after the recent treatment my mother has received on the weekend. My mom is almost 79 years old and has many health problems one being a bad heart. She had her doctor phone in some refills for her and went to pick them up. She prepared to fill her pills for the week and noticed that her heart medication had not been filled so she made a trip to the pharmacy.
She explained that she needed this medication and it was not in the bag. She was informed that the doctor had not prescribed a refill for that prescription. She inquired was there any way she could get it refilled have them loan a few pills until they reached her doctor only to be told that they had at least 50 other customers that were in the same predicament. Then they asked her what is wrong with you that you can't see that you are running low.
They said that the pharmacist would not write a persciption for it. It was up to all these people to be better at knowing what they need. She left very scared and upset. Later her friend went with her to see if there was some way to get some help.
Again she was told no, there are at least 50 more customers just like you and we don't have time. She asked to speak to the pharmacist. The pharmacist came over and said no, what is wrong with all you people ? Why can't you see that you need your drugs?
She tried to explain no use. So she asked the pharmacist to transfer her perscriptions to the pharmacy across the street. The pharmacist said you asked to see me the pharmacist for that. No Her friend tried to explain this was heart medication and they would not listen.
Her friend took her across the street to a different pharmacy . They faxed your store to request all persciptions for both of my parents be transferred. They did explain that often the superstore pharmacy will not answer their phone or return the fax so it might be a few days. Finally the other pharmacy received the fax last evening.
They have filled my father's perscriptions and my mom's heart pills are being filled tonight as the pharmacist said he can write that perscription and fill it. This is certainly not the first negative experience any of us have had over the last several years but the service has definitely declined in the last few months. Days to get perscriptions refilled and then when you go to pick them up at the time the pharmacy specified they are not ready. The new hours are certainly not easy to work within when you work .
They are only open Monday to Friday until 5 p.m.. The staff are saucy to the customers. This latest episode was definitely not called for. They were disrespectful, rude, and they belittled her.
If this is to continue to be how you treat your customers I feel we should all move onto another pharmacy. I am on a lot of medications as I am diabetic, a cancer patient, and many other health problems and I don't complain when I have to return because my persciptions aren't ready when they are promised. I always treat them with respect as I was taught by my parents. This is definitely not how I want or will tolerate my parents being treated.
The staff complains that they are over worked well that should never be the customers problem. This is not how you run a business. Especially not how you treat your long time, loyal and devoted customers.
Thank you for taking time to read this. I apologize for the long note but we are upset.
