Verified Reviewer |Horrible company, damaged several items, rude customer service!!
I landed in Los Angeles on September 21st to help my aunt, Leanora Smith, move back to Connecticut. As soon as I arrived, she was having issues with the movers that were hired by Safe Ship.
They complained constantly about how many boxes my aunt had and how they did not want to be there. They took several breaks and kept coming back from their breaks inebriated. They complained about how they were not getting paid enough for the job. They ignored our constant requests to pack things properly.
Originally there were about 8 movers; then there were only 2 until the end of the night when the original movers came back and started throwing items in a box and in the truck since they were instructed that they had to finish the job that day. They assured us that everything would be packed correctly and would be safe from damage. That was far from the truth. Once we landed in Connecticut, one of the first calls my aunt received was that they were charging her more money because the street that they had to deliver her items to was too narrow for their big trucks to deliver, which was a lie.
They would not deliver her items until she paid the extra money they were demanding once again. When the items finally arrived, the movers were rude and dismissive. One of the movers was very argumentative, which is not acceptable at all. There were several items damaged.
When we brought it to their attention, they just said to file a claim and did not have any regard for the damage they caused. I would warn anyone to stay clear of both Safe Ship and Loadrans for their moving needs. They treat their customers like a number and bully them into paying ridiculous amounts of additional fees once they have your belongings.
These two companies put so much stress on my aunt and wiped her out of her entire savings. Shame on them!
- No regard for their customers belongings

Been calling regularly since the beginning they do nothing they take no responsibility and they're not going to. They do not deliver what you pay for you're paying for professional moving you do not even get close to that and all they know how to do is ask for money and more money.
Basically they're just day laborers really know nothing about moving .They pack the trucks with the delicate stuff on the bottom the heavy stuff crushing it . When they open the back of the U-Haul trucks it look like a little kid threw in their toys things were sideways upside down there were no straps holding anything in it was shameful . I have so much damage it's not even funny and I don't even think they're going to cover their damage because it's all a game they don't give a damn. stay away from these people don't use a broker go straight to a credited moving company.
The people that picked up my stuff in California part of this company were crap they didn't wrap anything they charged me for packing everything's in paper they put all my tiffany lamps in a box with no wrapping we know what that look like when it got here they broke chairs they broke tables unreal everything was marked fragile .I guess nobody knows how to read or they have such good insurance they don't give a damn. They strong arm you for money . It's one price and then it's a whole nother big price. They probably already know that it's going to be a crap job maybe throw out some insurance claim money and go on to the next person because they already made their money.
We'll see if they pay up on all the damage somehow I think they'll weasel the way out of it like they've done through this whole thing of being not responsible . Worst experience ever I have had four coastal moves and one European move never been through anything like this. Everything so outsourced that nobody knows what the other person's doing they're accounting people didn't know I paid it was just a fiasco and every possible way . They should all burn in *** They also offer a discount if you give a review and they want you to write what they want you to write so any good review they have most likely has been paid for.
These are only a few of my photos I have over 100 other items that are damaged I haven't been able to go through everything yet there's so much. And they say file a claim you know how tedious that is going to be and they're probably not going to cover anything.

Verified ReviewerLoadrans LLC - FRAUDULENT MOVING SCAM
move details: washington state to illinois, long-distance relocation
summary: extortion, contract fraud, and hostage tactics
loadrans llc operates what appears to be a fraudulent moving scheme designed to extort money from customers whose belongings they hold hostage. this company should be avoided at all costs and potentially investigated by authorities.
how the scam works
we never contracted with loadrans llc. we hired transport america moving services, but loadrans secretly processed our payment and took control of our belongings without our knowledge or consent. they then held our possessions hostage to extract additional money.
fraudulent business practices
contract manipulation:
took over our move without disclosure or consent
initially processed payment, then refunded it to demand cash wire transfers
sent us a completely new contract with their name while holding our belongings
refused to honor the original contract terms we agreed to with transport america
deliberately misled us about contract details and refused to provide copies
we were forced to secretly photograph contract documents when they weren't looking
extortion tactics:
held our belongings hostage for 25 days
refused delivery unless all fees were paid via untraceable wire transfers
violated contract terms that allowed credit card payments
refused to provide proof of any legitimate contract or authorization
identity fraud:
actively impersonated transport america in phone calls, emails, and texts
when confronted about this deception, they admitted to the impersonation
used this false identity to maintain control over communications and payments
lack of transparency:
would not provide documentation showing their relationship with transport america
operated in the shadows without customer knowledge until problems arose
used deceptive practices to force wire transfer payments
delivery disasters
after being forced to wire money under duress:
delivered belongings in two separate shipments over 25 days
multiple items were lost or damaged
delivered wrong items belonging to other customers
we had to locate other victims to exchange misdelivered belongings
red flags - classic moving scam
bait-and-switch: takes over contracted moves from other companies
payment fraud: demands wire transfers after processing credit cards
contract deception: misleads customers about terms and refuses to provide copies
identity fraud: impersonates other companies in communications
hostage tactics: refuses delivery until additional cash payments made
no transparency: won't provide legitimate contracts or authorization
poor handling: lost items, wrong deliveries, damaged goods
warning to others
loadrans llc appears to be part of a sophisticated moving scam network. they work with companies like transport america to deceive customers, then hold belongings hostage to extract money through wire transfers. this is likely illegal and should be reported to authorities.
if you encounter this company:
do not wire them money
contact your state's consumer protection agency immediately
file complaints with the fmcsa and better business bureau
consider contacting law enforcement
recommendation
never do business with loadrans llc under any circumstances. this company appears to operate through fraudulent means and extortion. protect yourself and your belongings by choosing legitimate, licensed moving companies with verified business practices.
would i recommend? absolutely never.
would i use again? this company should be shut down.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: Residential moving companies that scam customers
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with settlement agreement.
These companies are evil. They have refused contact in any way, shape, or form - not only with me, but with any Government Agency that has been trying to contact them.
Moving companies and brokers such as Coastal Moving Services, Loadrans LLC, and their “associates” like CSI Pros exhort money from people, employ many non citizens who are do not have a license to operate, do not carry proper insurance on their vehicles, and exploit unsuspecting customers.
They also take advantage of the elderly and those people with disabilities. These companies are criminally and civilly negligent
Loadrans LLC has denied any calls for refunds or compensation. They don't even respond to inquiries for any Government Agency or non Government Agency.
They are a fraudulent company that scams elderly and disable people. It is sickening.
I am on the *** of bankruptcy as they have cost me over $100,000 in personal property damages. I need legal help, but I can't afford anything of that nature.

First, I am an elderly gentleman with severe disabilities.
I contacted Coastal Movers out of Boca Raton FL. A guy named Michael Presley gave me the originals quote and he also said that Coastal Movers had their own fleet of trucks and that they had a huge storage facility in Cleveland.
Once my items were picked up, they would go straight to Cleveland for storage AND all I had to do was to give 48 hour notice before delivery. I sent them a deposit and it was all a lie. Coastal Movers is only a broker, with no trucks, or warehouses. Coastal brokered this to Loadrans LLC.
Two days before Loadrans LLC was to pick up my items in Palm Desert CA they (unfairly) jacked our price up an additional $7000. Unbelievable - they knew my back was up against the wall and I needed to leave in a few days.
Anyways, Loadrans LLC showed up in a BOX TRUCK. The truck did not fit all of my items and I had to leave $1000s of dollars of items behind. I can get you a list of all of those items.
From Palm Desert CA, my items were brought to Los Angeles and placed in storage until Sept 16 or so.
Then my items went to Hayward CA as Loadrans LLC has an office there.
It looks like the items were stored and then transferred to another truck (two transfers and two storages to this point).
The items then went to Idaho for some reason - Loadrans LLC was supposed to deliver to my house in Canfield OH on Sept 17. Through 100s of phone calls, emails, texts - everyone involved was lying to us.
At some point Loadrans LLC transferred my items to two truck drivers. Either they worked directly for Loadrans LLC or they were contracted - so now we are up to three transfers.
Supposedly the truck arrived in the area during the evening Sept 19 or the morning of Sept 20. The driver (some guy named Shawn or Sean) claimed they could not bring the truck down my street.
They wanted another $2000 (of course, in CASH). Another total scam and they were holding my items hostage.
The idiots still transferred all of my items to a U-HAUL Box Truck, so this would now be FOUR transfers.
The guys showed up, I paid them the balance of $4651 plus the extra $2000 in cash (they would only accept cash) and they began to deliver my items. I paid for white glove pick up and delivery service that included disassembly at pick up and assembly at delivery. These guys had absolutely no idea how to assemble anything, plus half the stuff was busted.
In conclusion - Box truck to storage, some other truck to another storage facility, some truck to Idaho, another truck to this area, then a U-HAUL for delivery.
In total Loadrans LLC did over $100,000 of damage to my items and personal property.
They have offered me a measly $200 in compensation, which I declined.
The head of their claims office is some person named Kate +1 (20*) ***-**** /claims@***.info and info@***.com
Of course, she doesnt work anywhere close to Los Angeles, so this is just another con job by Loadrans LLC. These people need to be shut down.
They bait and switch customers and no one has any recourse. They will not give refunds or accept claims.
- Loadrans llc did over 100
- Scam people
- 000 dollars of damage to my items
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: NEVER use Loadrans LLC or Coastal Moving Services
Overall poor experience
We got dumped with Loadrans when Coastal outsourced them for our move. Got hit with a much higher quote for our move as Coastal was not clear on how much storage space was a part of the agreement we made.
In addition to that they left the space an absolute mess, leaving the neighbors to have to clean up after them.
When they finally got to the new location (they arrived when it was almost dark out), a lot of our stuff arrived damaged. My work desk and many of our family antique furniture were ruined beyond repair. Boxes that were clearly labelled to contained fragile contents weren't treated with care and often appeared crushed, punctured, and their contents clearly destroyed.
Even with adequate insurance and Loadrans' initial policy taking effect for cases where larger articles of furniture were damaged due to their negligence, we saw no compensation or any form of relief for the damages done. Plus, second time they made a mess that we needed to clean up at the dead of night to not get charged for littering where we live at.

Scammed, overcharged, lost 1/3 of our belongings, delivered to someone else
I cannot rate this company as there are no negative stars. The original contact with Safe Ship was a low-balled offer.
Then the shipper Loadrans doubled the price. Bad!! It took 2 weeks for delivery to come and then we found out that 1/3 of our belongings were delivered to someone else with no explanation and no resolution as to when we will get any of this back. It has been a month and we still do not have an answer.
I have moved alot and never had this bad of an experience. the lies and lack of communication are deplorable. We are at 15000.00-20000.00 in lost furniture, personal items, clothing, boxes of dishes and kitchen items. Where are these things?
No answer from mangement. There has to be a bill of laiding as to where they were delivered.
No information, no communication, no answers. some of these Items are family heirlooms and this company does not care!
User's recommendation: DO NO USE!!!!! SCAM, THEFT OF ITEMS, NO ANSWERS.

Verified ReviewerDisgraceful company
I would chop off my right hand before I would use this company again
The cost went from $4,800 to over $12,000, mind you for 2/3 of my belongings. Then when my 2/3 of my belongings arrived, my 82-inch TV was shattered, my beautiful Italian king bed was sliced to pieces, my white couch was also sliced to pieces, obviously with the knives they opened the packaging with. My other queen bed was absolutely destroyed, not even able to assemble it in. I have yet to unpack the small glassware, dishes, kitchen utensils, etc.
I'm sure it's a disaster. These are bait-and-switch criminals; they are horrible. They are liars. I believe they’re foreigners, and they probably don't even belong in this country.
Let me be really clear about something: I was an idiot to use them—absolutely the worst judgment of my life, making an insurance claim, and we all know how that will go.
Do not use these people. They literally should be prosecuted for the way they do business.

HUDSON CLAIM
Hi Loadrans Admin.
I know the heading says pissed customer and that was not the heading I would choose we are really heartbroken and just trying to get the piece back.
Some one needs to track each location where the truck did drop offs across the country and any warehouses or the truck they used to put the items in a small u-haul to take it up the hill.
I have been trying to reach someone in person on the phone or over email since June.
I have used your service two times and this last time was a serious heartbreak that I would like to correct if possible. My client Nellie Hudson had me hire your team and move personal items from:
5/23/25 Ahmed Moving Express 17 Paul Drive San Rafael, CA 94903
TO:
6/26/25 73 Sargeant Drive Mt.
Desert, Northeast Harbor, Maine
The one item that did not arrive was their most expensive piece of furniture a brass base for a lighthouse lens they use as their main piece in their living room which was to arrive in Maine since they sold their home in Marin County.
The piece is worth $20,000 and is irreplaceable. The table base did not arrive the lens did.
I have been trying to connect with someone by phone, put a claim in or email and so far I have spent 10 hours on this and no one has gotten back to me.
I NEED THE PROJECT OR JOB NUMBER TO PUT IN A CLAIM THROUGH THE INTERNET -
CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE???

Verified ReviewerTheft of Items
I had the worst experience
I had the worst experience. I was shipping building materials and appliances to California for a construction project.
I told them to bring a palate jack as a fridge and the stove were on palates. The movers that showed up had no idea that this was needed and it was a mess. The bigger issue was the delivery and ultimate theft of the shipped goods. The delivery was 1 1/2 days late- the driver showed up to my property at 11:30 pm and needed help unloading.
We felt that he might be intoxicated as he was so erratic.
He actually physically threatened the builder and his brother. The stove never made it to the delivery. It was worth quite a bit. Everything was boxed up and we did not discover that the stove never made it from Portland to California until some months later when the builder was unboxing items.
Now I am in the process of filing police reports for felony theft and reports to the FMCSA Federal Motor Safety Administration.
Nightmare. Honestly.
User's recommendation: Beware
Bad communication.
First part of the move went well. I get a call the day before arrival stating they are afraid the MONEY ORDER may bounce and I told them they don't bounce as they are it tied to an account.
His response was " I don't want this to be a headache for tomorrow" sounds like a *** threat to me. It's illegal to hold stuff hostage but we'll see how tomorrow goes.

Absolutely no accountability with this company, and when you call them you can tell they don't give a crap about you or your stuff once you've paid them. They lost things and broke things, and then never sent me my reimbursement check.

My fault. I should have read the reviews.
They argued with each other while they were here. One of the girls was fired by her boss, but she said she was going to finish our job. So many things, even nice ones, were broken. They charged me almost $9,000 for this job, which should have been $3,500.
They just ripped me off badly. What else can I say?
- I have to say there are no pros
- Ripped me off bad they are con artists they are scams

Con artist
Do not use this company or sign their contract. There fine print allows them to switch trucks if needed and that will cost you thousands extra!
This is the third time the driver called me to report an issue with the truck and the need to switch to another truck, or temporary storage- each time tacking on 1,000 CASH! Always cash!
Theres no headquarters or manager to talk to. Complete scam do no use!
User's recommendation: Never use them
