I have been attending Lifepoint for a few years. I was baptized there this past summer.
Sunday February 2nd I left church feeling worse than when I walked in. Pastor Daniel has a gift for delivering the message. However on this day he made reference on one's posture asking how can you stand with your arms NOT raised &; shouting & jumping up & down for a savior who died on the cross for you. Went on to say dont say its your personality etc..
Hopefully this response will reach him with Gods help. When someone is going through Loss of a child, marriage, and grieving as well as emotional pain or All of the above. Some individuals just want to drop to their knees and pray. Jumping up & down doesnt draw one any closer to God.
Being in church closing my eyes & meditating on Gods words is how I do it. To be mocked on my posture was such an insult when Im just trying to make sense and cope. If you lose a child and your wife I hardly think you would be jumping for joy!!! Peace will come in time for me as long as I stay in Jesus.
I respect Pastor Floyd & enjoy his sermons. Just very disappointed with this one.
