Lost my money
Very disappointed. Had a credit of over $150 and was not aware they were going out of business. Never got an email or notice.
When I found out 2 or 3 weeks after they had closed their shop, I tried contacting them, co-founders included, but to no avail.
I would have expected them to return the money to those who had a credit with them, not just disappear without a word.
This is not an honest way to do business and for that reason I am posting this note.
The two co-founders should be held responsible and have them reimburse the money
The Only Company That Does Not Offer Any Refunds!
I purchased the Lipothropic B12 shots offered in the Los Angles salon. When I arrived for my appointment at the salon, I was presented with a full page of potentially very serious health hazards that B12 injections could cause.
I was asked to sign the liability release in case anything would happen to me as a result of this type of injection. I decided not to accept the injections and emailed the Lifebooker asking to refund the amount I paid, or at least give me a credit towards another service. I was told that they did not offer any refunds or credits and that it was my responsibility to find out about any health hazards prior to purchasing this procedure.
In the past I have received credits from other such companies, although I very seldom ask for it. In this case, I feel that the refund is well justified since the health hazards for this type of medical procedure should be clearly disclosed along with the offer.
Preferred solution: Full refund
Lifebooker steals
They stole $90 from me. They claim to have given me credit for vouchers that were unusable, but not only did they remove the vouchers from my account, they never added any credit.
They are scam artists. I intend to report them to the appropriate authorities if they don't correct this mistake. I've tried to contact them many many times. Please people...
do NOT use their services, the "discounts" are not worth it. If you want, just use groupon or living social or yipit; they are legitimate businesses.
Lifebooker is not. Lifebooker is a complete sham and i have to fill 100 words.

Scam artist posing as a facialist??
I am writing to file a formal complaint against the business listed as “Permanent Skin Care” at 239 S Robertson Blvd, Unit 6 in Los Angeles, CA 90048. I purchased a Lifebooker LOOT Deal for a Vita-Mineral Pure Oxygen Facial and scheduled an appointment with the facialist for January 18. She confirmed the appointment via text that morning. Upon arrival, I was shocked to see her space was under construction with construction paper covering the door and windows in the front, no lights on, boxes everywhere, a sink in the middle of the waiting area not attached to anything, plaster dust covering a concrete floor, lights not plugged in strewn across the treatment tables. She explained that she wasn’t really open for business but she didn’t want to make me mad by not accepting the appointment. She blamed Lifebooker for pushing her into accepting appointments. While I thought this was incredibly unprofessional, I did agree to give her some time to get her place in order and make a second appointment. She said she would be ready at the end of January.
I waited until February 5 to reach out and see if she was open for business. She replied via text on February 6 and said she could see me next week, so we booked an appointment for February 15 at 11 a.m. This morning, she sent me a text to confirm the appointment. When I arrived, I could see that the space was almost exactly as how I’d seen it a month ago. Boxes everywhere, unplugged lights on the treatment table, a filthy concrete floor, no lights on… Again, she said she wasn’t really open for business but she could try and do the facial or I could schedule it for another time. I asked her why she wouldn’t have just told me she wasn’t ready for customers and why she would go so far as to book and CONFIRM the appointment, knowing full well she was not equipped to handle customers. She again blamed your service and said that she felt forced by Lifebooker to accept appointments. I told her this was a complete waste of my time and totally unprofessional. I told her I wanted my money back and she said to contact Lifebooker and that they would refund my money. (Waiting to hear back from them...)
This being my first experience with Lifebooker, I have to say that the integrity of this business deserves a report to the Better Business Bureau and I would hope that they sever ties with her (I think her actual name is Isabella Sarto?) Last time I use Lifebooker.

Refused to Refund for a Practice Offering Horrible Services
Here's my last letter to them:
Hi Jenna,
Per our conversation on Monday, the bottom line is you're selling vouchers for a practice that is providing sub-par care/services and I would like a refund. It's not that I HAVE to see Kathy, I want a refund because everyone left at that practice is providing sub-standard services. The only person who seems to have had any expertise, Kathy... is no longer there.
Your account credit is one of the most ridiculous offers I've ever received. THAT WOULD REQUIRE PURCHASING ANOTHER VOUCHER FROM YOUR COMPANY FOR WHAT WILL PROBABLY BE ANOTHER SUB-STANDARD SERVICE PROVIDER. WHY ON EARTH WOULD I EVER WANT TO CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH YOUR COMPANY AGAIN?
I've been in the sales/customer service/marketing industry throughout my career and anyone with a basic understanding of this, knows that customers aren't expecting companies to operate without problems... what they want is companies that excel at resolving them. THAT is the definition of GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, and THAT is what brings a company success. You should take a look at how a company providing similar services is operating... LivingSocial is hugely successful. If I had experienced this problem with a voucher I purchase from them, they would have offered the refund and probably even apologized for the terrible experience I'd had.
The only recourse I have at this point is to share my experience on social networking sites and hope someone will read it and avoid wasting their money on your vouchers. My posts will be up before the day is done on Yelp and Facebook. It's too bad really... I think your company is founded on a great idea, but your execution of the idea is lousy.
Sincerely,
Maria
Terrible Customer Service! Worst Ever!!!
Terrible, terrible website!!! STAY AWAY!!!
They DO NOT offer any type of customer service whatsoever if you have any issues. Purchased a voucher for a facial carboxytherapy @ a salon when I initially called that they would be more than happy to take the voucher even though it had expired, but wasn't sure when I would be able to come in so said I would call back. Subsequently was not able to reach salon at all & never received call back so called Lifebooker for refund & they said would look into matter & try to reach salon, but never called back. I then called again 2 weeks later and again I was told someone would call me back, but never received any response whatsoever.
Tried calling again today & customer service recording just looped back to intro with no representative responding to my call!!
Wasted a good deal of money! Never again!!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
The site processes two promo codes, so when you check out and submit payment you think it's one price. When you receive the confirmation and email, it charges you for the amount of only one promo code working.
I call customer service and tell them the issue, and they do NOTHING about it. Like a normal respectable company, they should HONOR what the site says. They just ask if you want to return the loot and that you cannot use two promo codes. FIX YOUR FREAKIN SITE THEN.
They have HORRENDOUS customer service and are terrible. I won't be buying anything anymore.
Horrible Customer Service Rip Off
I purchased two packages which expired within weeks of each other in August. I don't check lifebooker all day and I assumed they understood this like other e-commerce sites, but received no warning of expiration. I was looking to maybe get some kind of credit back to lifebooker since I didn't get to use the package or maybe even a miracle refund.
This company does nothing to protect the consumer. Once they have your money, you're dead to them.
It's hard to reach them via email or phone and when you do, you receive poor customer service and short responses. I just had someone cut me short to say have a good day and hang up while I was only explaining the issue. I could see if I was heated that might make sense but not at all. They have done nothing to alleviate my issue and only point me toward the business. I guess good for them that they got my money, but I got nothing in return.
Poor quality of service
Hi. I used my eyelash voucher from life booker at bling fancy eyelashes.
I used lifebooker quite few times for my eye lashes extension and so far I was satisfied. Bling lash had really poor quilts of service. My lashes fell out 11 of them by this morning. And I just done yesterday afternoon.
I followed all post instruction after my lashes done and I am very family with lashes. This lash was really poorly done and poor quality also. I emailed bling lashes to ask about that and they never responded. I google about bling lashes.
They got horrible review about quilting of service and also customer service. Some ppl insisted that their lashes all fell out in one day and you know what.. I believe them. My lashes fell off 11 of them in few hours and I did put any oil or water anything.
Never happened to me.
I really want to refund or anything other credit with this poor service. I never had any bad experience with life booker til today with bling lashes.
Not worth it...
I always use services such as groupons, living social, giltcity, bloomspot and a whole bunch of other site to find good deals. When I came across Lifebooker, I was hesitant when they ask from my CC info but then I felt comfortable after the site states that my CC will only be charge once I receive services...guess what, one month after my cancelled appointment, the company used my card without my knowledge and debit my account for a cancelled appointment.
Even though I cancelled the appointment with the salon, the entire amount - 100% was debited from my account because I did not cancel with this site. When I emailed them for a refund they told me that the salon debited my account, I called the salon and the salon said that Lifebooker debited my account. I called back lifebooker when the rep come on the phone and said since my account was already debited, they could not refund me.
I hope the $24.75 was worth a potential long term customer. GOOD RIDDANCE...WILL NEVER, EVER USE THIS SITE...I wanted to file a small claims, but why give them free publicity...
Lifebooker will steal your money and won't give a ***
I purchased Laser hair removal (LHR) from them . It was a $229 for 4 areas at European Skin Care Center in NYC.
First I couldn't get the company to pick up the phone to place the appointment . When I finally did I went it to find a filty dirty office. 1. They didn't use a paper liner in between customers , just a dirty blanket.
2. They didn't offer we protective eyewear. 3. I googled the treatment when I got home and saw that I recieved IPL instead of LHR.
I called the company and told them about it. They promised to get back to me. Noone did. I emailed someone named Ariane and she started to speak to the company on my behalf.
After constant calls and emails Lifebooker decided to refund there portion of the loot about $80. Doesn't that mean that the admit that this was a less then perfect transaction? I was still out about $150. They won't do anything.
I was told to dispute it on my credit card. Visa wont refund me because I paid lifebooker but European skin care center didn't service me properly. In other words I'm stuck.
Unless I bring them to small claims court. Its been a disaster and I recommend sticking with groupon no matter how big the savings seem.

I never heard back but I will do some digging. I've read of other people who lost $150-$200 that is crazy! I only lost $80 but it's still not fair.
I had no idea they went out of business. I have about $80 credit and I just came across your comment. This is so unethical and disappointing.
Did you ever hear back? I am in a similar situation.
