Liberty utilities is crooked. They charge the rate charge you extra all the extra fees and rates.
People dont know about like TDC rider stuff like thats for electricity flowing through their entire system.
Customers are being charged for it. Your actual bill is usually half of what youre being charged for if not less the rest are fees and charges that shouldnt be there.

Its funny how you want to increase rates for electric. I got your proposed letter which a copy will be filed to donald trump.
Food has doubled in price, gas is high, rent has doubled, housing market out of control. Everything is up except our pay checks. Newmac electric is 35 to 40 percent cheaper than you. I keep my lights off and ac to 72 and my bill gets higher and higher.
Ac is serviced every spring and cleaned. And you dont not work with your customers. Its what i call a bully company. You want your money and you want it now no excuses.
You need to change your ways, and start making it affordable.
You get to greedy you will loose customers. Im already looking to sell my house and find one that new mac electric services.

My son has no gas service after a 630.00 pledge was made they could have froze to death last night , you wouldn't turn it on because they refused to sign up for a service they couldn't afford ,so you refused them service uumless they paid a 350.00

Horrible Customer Service
- Website form and email inquiries went unanswered.
- Phone calls went to automated bill pay; Liberty switch noted; billing start and end of month.
I tried reaching out to them via their website "Contact Us" page to resolve a billing issue and never received a response after 5 weeks. I also emailed them twice using the email on their website and also never received a reply.
When I finally resorted to calling during their business hours I kept getting routed to the automated bill pay service regardless of what numbers I pressed. On the 5th try I finally got a live person. I am beyond aggravated and frustrated. Also, what utility bills you at the beginning and end of the same month?
Not sure what their billing practices are but they do not line up with all other utilities who only bill once a month with the payment due date the same each month. I wish we were never switched to Liberty!!!

This is the worst company that I have ever worked with, trying to get in contact with them does not work. Billing department is never correct or willing to help I would go into detail, but I have so many stories of bad experiences with this company I wouldn't have enough room to type.

Im not sure where all the bad reviews about customer service are coming from but i have never had a problem contacting someone in Liberties customer service department and they have always been nothing but nice to me.I just call the customer service phone number on my bill.They answer quickly and have always had an answer for me.Never have i had anyone be rude to me.If you keep in touch with them about when you intend to pay your bill there should be no problem unless you just cant pay it and then they will gladly make payment arrangements with you.If you have a problem with your power getting shut off because you cant pay your bill on time its because you havent stayed in communication with them.I agree their rates are high but what are you gonna do.I suggest anyone who has a problem with Liberty at all move to carthage mo and deal with carthage water & electric.There you will find rude and will also see your power being disconnected for nonpayment real quick.I know.I lived there for many years.

Overcharged and they monopolized the area

This company's alibi for overcharging the consumer as it being one of most expensive in the state of California they claim that the water is specially processed to provide a better quality of water wich is absolutely not true I happened to have a purifier in my house and and making comparison it turned absolutely false they just take advantages of the fact that they monopolized the area , and like everything they already have a few politicians locally just in case you complain with the authority they already have it all figured out in a very democratic way if you all know what i mean. New comers to the area beware before purchasing home in the area the realtor would never tell you that
