AI Highlights
  • - 2013 Honda CR-V; battery died Dec 2017, replaced.
  • - Battery died Jan 2018; dealer said software issue.
  • - Battery died Jan 2019; replaced; third time.

I purchased a new 2013 Honda CR-V in March of 2013. In December, 2017 the battery died and I replaced it with a new battery.

In January, 2018 the battery died again and I took it to the dealership for service and was told it was a software issue and the problem was taken care of. In January, 2019 the battery died YET AGAIN and I replaced it YET AGAIN, Today when I went to start the car, the battery was dead FOR THE THIRD TIME IN LESS THAN 3 YEARS.

The last trip to the dealership yielded no reason as to why this was happening. What is going on, do customers have to bring civil lawsuits against Honda to fix a problem?

Loss:
$400
Cons:
  • Known defect and they do nothing
Reason of review:
Bad quality

Preferred solution: The car should be fully inspected, including the electrical system, and a reason for the repeated dead battery issue.
