I was misled into my new lease! Now I’m stoke with the car and $8,000 negative plus another $10,000 worth of miles by the maturity of the lease. I had a previous lease IS250 for 36 months. Car was nice. As a matter of fact I loved it. They called me one year into my car lease telling me that they were running great specials for special lease customers like myself. I said, I love my car I’ve got nothing to lose. They appraised my car and told me because I had a small accident with a tiny scratch (which was fixed at lexus) and my car had a bad car fax that would depreciate my car $3,000 which would be added to the new loan. I told them I was not able nor willing to pay for $700 monthly payments and supposedly they would reduce my perspective RX350 to $42,000 MRSP in order to accommodate my payments of $585 and got me stoke is a 4 years lease with 10,000 miles a year. I advised my representative I would take double this mile allowance and he told me (which was corroborated by his manager) that as long as remain with Lexus of PEMBROKE PINES the miles excess would not be a problem! Very naive of me to believe such a cheap sales pitch! I called a few weeks after the deal was settled to request to have the car moved from my personal name to my company name and I was told that would not be a problem, just to come by the dealer to see a financial advisor and they would do the transfer in no time. I went by the car dealer and met with this finance manager which told me that all I was told during the lease purchase of my car was a lie, that I would be charged $0.25 per excess mile plus any excess wear and tear, and that according to his calculations I would owe about $15,000 to the Lexus between excess miles excess wear and tear. That my only solution was to buy the my lease car which he estimated would be about $730/month or I could lease a BRAND NEW CAR and add the $8000 depreciation to the new loan and pay about $780 / month. Are you kidding me? I was so in shock that such a reputable company that holds I don’t know how many titles could put their customers through this. Not to mention that my company transfer according to this finance manager was only possible through the purchasing or a new vehicle. His name is Reynaldo Rivera. He actually seemed very honest and was estimating 15000 miles per year plus a warranty for extensive wear and tear and 36 months on the new vehicle he was willing to sell me. I just could not afford the new car payments with the $8,000 negative depreciation. If I was to keep it I will end up paying $10,000 worth of excess miles. I feel disappointed, totally screwed, manipulated like a little kid with a new toy. I feel these people should not carry such title of best of the region. Best abusive, perhaps! To whomever reads this complaint don’t into this dealer and if you do, DO NOT WALK OUT WITH A CAR IF YOU DID YOU MOST LIKELY GOT SCREWED! Do your RESEARCH and consider all your alternatives. I was forced into a car I pretty much didn’t even need, but they made the deal look so attractive! I couldn’t resist, SHAME ON ME! Mind you my credit is 700+. No justification to have screwed me up this way. I placed this complaint in the BBB, but SURPRISE! They are not accredited. So I am resourcing to all their advertising channels to get my problem resolved and warn others of my misfortune.
