OCR LEXMOTO - engine management fault returned to P&A motorcycles Widnes 5 times and still not repaired…!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - New OCR scooter bought Nov 1 from P&A Widnes, repaired 5 times for engine warnings, currently at the garage.

I purchased a brand new OCR on November 1st from P&A Motorcycles in Widnes. I have had to return the scooter 5 times now due to an engine management warning light coming on.

It is at the garage again as we speak being repaired. This is a brand new scooter and has been repaired 5 times, yes 5 times, by P&A Motorcycles in Widnes. What is going on, Lexmoto? I have been told by the P&A mechanic - it's the ECU!

It's an ECU incorrect update/version! It's a sensor on the catalytic converter! It's this, it's that! Apparently, now it needs new parts in the top of the engine!

Unbelievable. Remember, this is a brand new scooter! Look at my images attached; every image is an engine management warning light issue! Between each image, the OCR scooter has been repaired, allegedly by P&A.

Look at the mileage of each image!

On one occasion, P&A Motorcycles repaired the scooter; I traveled 1.5 miles down the road and the warning light came back on. Unbelievable!

Loss:
$400
Pros:
  • There cheap
Cons:
  • Break down and too many faults

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Stay well clear of P&A motorcycles in Widnes. I would not wish my experience on anybody it’s been ***

Exchange of full refund request

AI Highlights
  • - Brand-new Lexmoto LXR SE 2023; bike won't start and dealer can't fix.
  • - Replacement or full refund; 500 miles and 6 months services done; parts delays.

I'm still waiting for a response about my full refund or an exange

Original review Jun 23, 2024
I brought a motorbike on 21/06/2023 , lexmoto lxr se 2023, from brand new! and this thing had expended more time in the garage and off the road as unavailable to ride it.

Won't start up, took it to a lexmoto dealer in bedford (Bedfordshire) tried to fix it and still not working, bare in mind I waited 3 x months for a part that was ordered by the dealer (garage). This bike has caused me a lot of stress, headache, and affected me financially with repairs. I had enough!

I want replacement or full refund, failing that the finance payments will be cancelled as the bike is a not satisfactory quality and no useful, faulty, Looking forward to hearing from you ASAP. Also, the 500 miles service has been done and the 6 x months service had been done as per manufacturer's request.
Service history can be provided on request alone with purchase receipts, paper work, bike's frame frame number.
Regards,
Mr Jose Hernandez

AI Highlights
  • - Warranty claim filed after recall for back wheel bolts on 16 Sep 2022; left side panel not received.
  • - Cracked at 91 miles; awaiting left panel.

I am still waiting for a left side rear panel for my diablo EFI 125 ,the warranty claim was put in just after a recall for back wheel bolts needing locktighting.back 16 sept 2022 ,still waiting for my side panel ,only had 91 mile on my scooter when it cracked ,keep being told it is on its way ,I think this outrageous that you have to wait this long for a part, compo have got 20 plus righ hand side for my scooter none in stock for left hand side panel ,reg.0E22 FOM.how much longer do you have to wait for a part to turn up.

User's recommendation: Do not believe when they tell you it's on its way.
