Resolved: Total rip-off
- - Bought a defective RV part for a 2023 GeoPro and had it installed.
- - The manufacturer is out of business and Lewis RV Center refused a $380 refund.
They only refunded my money because they were forced by the credit card company to refund the money in spite of their best efforts to stick me with a $350 defective product!.
So Lewis RV made several false claims so that they could avoid doing the right thing and giving me my refund on the defective product. They claimed they had informed me of their refund policy on electric parts by virtue of a sign posted in the parts department.
They do have a small sign posted at a low point, well below eye level, at the unmanned register. Not the register they had me pay at where there was not any notice posted. Second claim was they didn’t install it so it must have been installed improperly. That is merely innuendo and conjecture that is not based on any fact.
They made other false claims as well… so in the final analysis, because of the dispute with my credit card company they were forced to issue the refund.
So my recommendation is still to avoid doing business with them as I don’t believe that they will treat you fairly and as a valued customer. I know in my case that they were forced to pay the refund and will never get any business from me in the future because of their ridiculously poor customer service and management!
