Levit's Furniture Corp aka Levit's LLC 40500 Albrae St Fremont, CA 94538 510-979-**** DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I RECEIVED A BROKEN LOVESEAT! The center console was broken, the rocking mechanism didn't work, and one of the seats were awry. I called the store, and spoke to "Tommy." I advised him of all the damages, and told him that I would not accept repairs on a brand new loveseat. He said that he would send me a replacement loveseat. Fast forward 8 days later, and someone arrives, but there is no loveseat in the back of his truck. He arrives to REPAIR the loveseat, that I was advised would be REPLACED! I call the store, and "Tommy" said THAT A NEW LOVESEAT WOULD BE DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY. The next day, "Rudy" arrives with the "repaired" center console. I call the store again, and am advised that "Tommy" is not available. "Kenny" says I will have to call back tomorrow, and speak to "Tommy." 15 minutes later, just as I finish filing a complaint with the BBB, "Rudy" arrives back at my house, again WITHOUT a replacement loveseat. He still refuses to take possession of the loveseat. I call "Kenny" again, and am given the same old roustabout. So, I'll call Tommy back again tomorrow, and try to arrange for him to pick up his BROKEN LOVESEAT! At this point, I will not accept a replacement loveseat. He will either pick up the loveseat, or it'll be dumped in front of their store with a nice big sign explaining my issues... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE!

Levitz Furniture in Milford Ct

I had an experience with Levitz in Milford Ct where I purchased a long awaited and long saved for grandfather clock. It was $2600.00. I put down 1000.00 and was to pay the balance at time of delivery in cash. When the clock was delivered the delivery man handed me the paperwork with the invoice the store receives from the makers of the clock attached with my house number hand written on it and $1600.00 cash to be received upon delivery from customer. Well the invoice price was....get this $600.00! What a slap in the face! Not only did the company neglect to remove their invoice for the price they paid, they used it to write instructions on it for the driver to get my money!!! Hmm what is that..I am bad at math but that is a huge markup as well as a huge slap in the face! I called of course and they didn't seem to find any shame in what had happened. What they did do is send me back $600.00 Big deal. I understand they mark up to make their money, but when caught like that, I expected at least 1000.00. Get this, they asked that I send them back the invoice before I receive my refund. I did, but a copy, they did send me my refund, but....what a ride!!!!

No Murchandise No Refund

A few months ago I purchased a mirror for my dresser from Levittz. They scheduled delivery but never showed up with the murchandize. When I asked them why they didn't deliver they said they no longer had the piece I ordered in stock. I asked for my money back and guess what they said. No, we don't refund money. The price was $215.50. I put it through a dispute with my credit card co. and they informed me that Levitz had got my signature proving they had delivered the murchandize. I couldn't believe that such corporation as Levittz can screw up people like that. They literally stole my money. They deserve to be in jail!

Levitz the ripoff kings!!!

On February 9, 2008, I went to the "levitz" "going out of business" sale and while there purchased a large rug I was told originally sold for more than $2000 and my price would be $350. While they loaded the rug into my car, I went on and paid for it, so I didn't get a very good look at it, at that time. When we got home (my husband and I) he laid it out and proceeded to run the vacuum, as it had all sorts of bits and pieces on it and all of a sudden it began to unravel all across one end of this rug. As we looked closer we saw that all along the outside edge it was ragged and was starting to come apart from the underlining. I immediately called the store to inform them of this problem and I was rudely told "ALL SALES FINAL"!!I have taken this rug to 3 different carpet places to see if it can be repaired at all, and they all told me the same thing "You purchased a lemon" and it cannot be repaired. I would just like to get a refund for a piece of merchandise that was unsaleable, and unfortunately they found a sucker. But I should not be cheated out of $350. I told them immediately upon arriving at home, which was less than an hour after the sale. I really would appreciate any assistance in getting a refund. Thanks.

Levitz Liquidation

On 3 DEcember we placed an order online with Levitz for a chest of drawers which including delivery came to over $700. WE paid by Visa Delivery scheduled for 12 December. On 12 December delivery re-scheduled for 16 December. No problem for us. On 12 December we received an email to say that order had been voided and that we would revceive a refund. No explanation was offered as to why the order was voided by Levitz. We need the chest and insisted on re-establishing the order A call to the warehouse who advised us to go to the nearest store which is in Glenadale CA. This we did on 14 December were we were advised by the manager that he could not re-establish the order. Having credit we offered to take another style of cheest of drawers. No, he could not re-establish an order and asked us to contact thCistomer Service for where we received a message stating that we should be open but we are not. Further discussion and many questions with the manager Carlos revealed that Levitz is in liquidation and that we should "line up" like all creditors and he eventualy gave us a single sheet of paper with a web site contact and this also stated that no refunds would be made for contracts already made and that we were considered as an unsecured creditor. I insisted on my chest of drawers or equivalent. The Manager Carlos pretended to call the police to have me evicted. Eventually no police arrived as I suspected. Hoever further discussion were of no avail so I have to resort to other means to achive satisfaction or relieve my frustration. Levitz buyers beware uujw

I work in the payment processing industry. Because you paid with a Visa card ...

you can dispute the charge with your card issuing bank. They will begin something called a chargeback process.

In all likelihood ... you will be refunded your money since you did not receive the goods/service for which you paid.

Generally speaking, the card isuer will be very coopeative as they view resolution of these matters as crucial to their own perception in the marketplace,

Levitz furniture refused to give merchandise ord refund

11/10/07 Made a purchase with Levitz, however due to health crisis I decided against this purchase. I therefore returned on 11/12/07 and spoke to the sore manager Louis. He stated no problem however did not keep that amount of cash in store $2,639.73 and I should receive a refund from corporate office with in 10 business days. Called and went in person several more things, finally on 12/7/07 Louis stated no money or merchandise I had come in prior to 12/06/07 I could have had furniture?????? No sense. No satisfaction.

Levitz filed for bankruptcy. If you paid by cash or check you will need to file a claim with the bankruptcy court. If you paid by a credit card you can file a dispute

Levitz Furniture complaint: no Merchandise received after a month.

I ordered and paid in full for a Queen mattress set, bed frame and ottoman on 10/7/07 for a promised delivery date of 11/11/07. On 11/4/07, I received an e-mail notifying me that the delivery had been pushed back to 11/29/07. Then it was pushed back to 12/1/07, then 12/8/07 and now is set for 1/6/08. I have contacted their 800 customer service line repeatedly only to be told to go to the store directly, however when I go to the store....they refer me back to 'corporate' customer service. I guess it doesn't matter where I go because no matter where I turn...I get misinformation, lies and half truths. I have been lied to by supervisors, customer service reps and store employees. I have been told repeatedly, "there is nothing we can do". I have asked for a full refund and am told that "due to Chapter 11 bankruptcy, we cannot process refunds". I have opened a credit card dispute with American Express and can only pray that they can somehow get the charge reversed as I have no merchandise. However this process is estimated to take 4-6 weeks. At every level, I have been dissatisfied with how I have been treated and cannot find even 1 good thing to say about this company. BEWARE OF LEVITZ!

I'm also going through a similar situation.

I purchased a bedroom set, dining room set, and a couch on July 4, 2007. My merchandise wasn't delivered until September. Since my couch was specially ordered it was not delivered until October (which was a little over the expectancy date). However, I only received 3 out of 4 parts of the couch...the my order was considered "closed/finalized". Since October I have been going back and forth with levitz store associates/managers, the customer service people, and the warehouse people. Everyone has been giving me the run around.

Because of the whole bankruptcy bit, it's impossible to get a hold of the customer service people or a manager at a store. The warehouse people are the worst to get a hold of...when you finally get to talk to them, they simply say "levitz is out of business we can't help u!!"

At this point, I don't know what to do. The customer service line is closed, the warehouse people say my order is finalized and there's nothing I can do, and the store manager is also impossible to get a hold of....even when I go into the store, there's never a manager to be found...

Does any one have any suggestions?? Or am I stuck paying for something I didn't receive??

The only thing I have to change of the above review is the products I ordered which was an leather sofa and loveseat and the numbers of times my delivery date was rescheduled. I went into the Co-op City, NY location on October 20th and was promised a delivery date of 11/4 then as the above reviewer I received an e-mail in theearly morning hours stating that my delivery date was changed to 12/1, then I received another e-mail two weeks later stating that the delivery was changed to 1/08.

That's when I decided to cancel my order and I'm given the surprise that they not giving refunds back just store credit. I was out of luck because I made a portion of my purchase was made in cash and the rest in a their credit card, which I closed out. I have no desire in doing any further business with a disloyal company. Levitz as a whole needs a major makeover ...

from the store level to the corporate level. They are blindly stealing from their customer ... how is it possible that they will continue accepting orders and deposits from customers knowing that they will not be able to fulfill the order. This is quote from a newspaper article printed on 11/9 after their press conference regarding the bankruptcy.

I should of stood with my first chioce Raymour ... I guess you learn from your mistakes.

I also have the same complaint -- with my merchandise, it was 5 delivery attempts, 3 of which they actually delivered to my house, 2 of which were stopped. All 5 attempted deliveries were for the wrong merchandise.

They kept sending me the same set of chairs, albeit the wrong ones. It has been over three months since I purchased the set. After several conversations with "supervisors" and a "store manager"(who is no longer working for Levitz) about errors in their stocking department, I found out that these chairs were actually discontinued -- although they are still displayed out on the floor. I decided to cancel and got the same song and dance about the bankruptcy and no refund policy.

The only alternative they can give me is to choose a comparable set, fight it out with the credit card company or get the courts involved..... Shopping as Levitz has by far been the biggest regret of my life.
