Overlooked draft

AI Highlights
  • - Bought a 2005 pull-behind camper.
  • - A payment draft was doubted; I showed it was in the envelope.
  • - I will not do business with Leisure Time RV.

My wife and i bought a 2005 pull behind camper from leisure time . Several years ago the finance co gave me a draft for payment. I personally took the draft out ther my self after i got home the manager called saying he didnt have the draft and talked to me like i was stupid.i told him several times the draft was in the envelope.but he insisted it was not so i made a drive from sw okc to the bussiness to show him the draft was in the envelope.sure enough there it was right inside the envelope.he didnt bother to say thank you or i appreciate you making a trip back out here.he was just interested in getting the money.needless to say i will never do bussiness with leisure time r.v again

  • - Awning install took six weeks with no updates.
  • - Installation was incomplete and shield missing.
  • - We waited this morning; no update.

We have had our RV here more than six weeks for an awning installed. We have not had one call to keep us informed, the installation was incomplete, lacked the shield.

Knew we were coming this morning and still had to wait. Customer service seriously lacking.

They are very, just can't produce and seriously expensive. Will not come back.

POOR SERVICE...but good price

AI Highlights
  • - We paid a good price for our 2014 TT.
  • - Service was the worst I've experienced.
  • - Warranty work took over a month; calls weren't returned.

We payed a good price for our new 2014 TT, but service was the worst i have ever experienced.I have purchased two new RV's in my time other than leisure time's. They took more then a month to fix warranty related problems.I made two payments on the trailer before i was able to take it out for it's second time. They do not return phone calls promptly, if at all. Please be aware that i am just one person, but you may be next.I wish we would have researched better before we purchased this trailer. Their are many complaints on the web against Leisure Time.

Leisure Time RV, Oklahoma City, Ok.

AI Highlights
  • - Bought a toy hauler from Leisure Time RV.
  • - Equalizer hitch installation left the front lower by 3 1/4 inches.
  • - Manager said it's my problem; owner wouldn't talk.
Updated by user Oct 22, 2012

The owner did return a call when he returned to town. He made sure the trim was replaced and the hitch adjusted properly.

It appears this incident was the result of an employee not taking care of business as the owner would have it done and the owner is rectifying the problem. Now that I understand the true nature of what happened I would probably buy from Leisure Time RV again.

Original review Sep 21, 2012

I bought a toy hauler from Leisure Time RV in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. To insure I had no problems I also paid for installation of an equalizer hitch. I did not notice their installation left the front of the trailer 3 1/4 inches lower than the back. This caused my motorcycle to drag over the trim at the rear of the floor bending the trim and pulling it from the floor. When I called the service manager told me that was my problem. I asked to speak to the owner and he either did not get the message or just refused to talk to me. Everyone was friendly before they had my money! Their true colors are out now, buyer beware!

Leisure time rv in oklahoma city, ok

AI Highlights
  • - Two items for repair under the extended warranty; estimate $160.
  • - A $60 diagnostic fee per item; total over $450; battery drained.

Do not ever trust anything anyone at Leisure Time RV says, make sure everything is in writing and you get a copy. We took our 5th wheel we purchased from there, in for repairs under extended warranty we purchased from there.

We asked for two items to be repaired we knew were not covered under the extended warranty, we were told it would be approximately $160. They had our RV for over a month and 8 days. Every follow up call was made by me, they took over a week to return my call. They never contacted me to tell me all of the repairs except one would not be covered by the extended warranty.

When I questioned them about it, I was asked did you not read the sign. Apparently they now charge a $60 diagnostic fee for each repair item. The repair bill was over $450.

They ran my battery down again by leaving it turned on. Needless to say I will not EVER be giving them any of my business ever again.
