From the owner: Regarding our one negative review, to set the record straight. This person's bathtub was damaged during shipping. We supply clear receiving and inspecting instructions to each customer at the time of the sale. This customer did not read our simple instructions and did not inspect or even open the box until months after it was delivered as we instruct all of our customers to do. Even so, on hearing of his cracked tub we shipped him a brand new tub at no charge. He refused the replacement tub! It was then shipped back to the manufacturer on our dime at a freight cost of $500.00 round trip. The customer then attempted to extort $800.00 in cash from us. We did everything we could to help solve this problem short of agreeing to his extortion demand.

Leisure Concepts Whirlpool (WI) Will not repair cracked tub.

We purchased a whirlpool tub from this company for our new bathroom. Our contractor installed the tub and completed the tile work. When the tub was filled for the first time, we noticed a crack. We contacted the company who told us multiple times they would arrange for repair. This went on over 8 months. Leisure Concepts then passed us along to the manufacturer -SpaWorld. They have been unresponsive. We can no longer dispute the charge on our credit card because of the time frame. This company knew exactly what they were doing. They dragged this out over 6 months so now a dispute will not be accepted. Do not buy anything from this company or Spaworld. I will provide an update if things turn around, but for now stay away from these companies!!!

FROM THE MANAGEMENT: To set the record straight on our one and only actual negative review from Dave Marciano. This customer received a bathtub that had been dropped during shipping or dropped by his installer.

The result was a cracked floor and the photos he supplied us proved that. Nothing was defective. This situation occurred because he ignored our instructions to inspect the tub on delivery prior to signing for it. In fact, he didn't even look at it.

He lied and said "the freight company just dropped it in my front yard when I wasn't home". His signature was on the delivery receipt so we know that wasn't true. Still though, we wanted to take care of him so we sent him an entirely new tub at no charge.

Instead of being satisfied with a brand new whirlpool at no charge he implied that if we didn't pay him $800.00 he would trash us online. We didn't pay his hush money and his review is what we were rewarded with.


This sounds an awful lot like the review that's on BBB's website (search Leisure Concepts and look for complaints tab). If it is, LC responded to the claim there, and their response seems pretty reasonable to me, if you want both sides of the story...

I'm not with them, just researching tubs myself.
