No response via either method. I understand that you can't return food items, but when they arrive broken, the company is at fault

Verified ReviewerPoor communication, no refund for shipping
I was so excited to find this business online, they offer so many items I grew up with on Kauai. I placed an order through their website on 1/27/23.
I purchased $163.62 worth of goods (decided to treat the ohana), and paid $96.30 for overnight shipping as most of the items were perishable (manapuas, portugese sausage, etc) for a total of $259.92. My order was shipped out on 2/1/23 via FedEx. The package was delayed during transit and I did not receive it until 2/6/23. I emailed customer service on 2/3 and 2/4 with my concerns, no response.
I did receieve an email on 2/5 stating they were unsure why it was delayed but to let them know when I received it. I emailed them again on 2/6 after opening the package to let them know the perishable items were ruined after 5 days in transit and that I was completely cool with receiving another delivery or a refund, whichever was easiest for them. No reply. I sent another email on 2/9 expressing my frustration with the poor communication and receieved a reply stating they would refund the amount of the perishables.
They did refund me an amount of $122.26. So in total, I paid $137.66 for 2 packs li hing mui candy, 2 packs arare, and 1 box sweetbread mix. I have had to resort to opening a dispute with PayPal to refund me for the $96 for shipping. No response of course and it is still pending.
Theres no aloha with this business.
I will update this review with the outcome of the Paypal dispute for shipping. Buyer beware.

Verified ReviewerDelayed sending of frozen poi. Offered to send Taro Brand. I approve. 2 packages arrived today completely thawed and spoiled. Not packed appropriately for frozen poi. To put it mildly, it smelled.
Spoiled poi due to poor packaging. Waste of $75.
This wrecks a special birthday party for our son. We are from Hawaii and are really disappointed.

Preferred solution: Properly frozen and packaged Taro Brand poi - 2 packages. Be glad to return the bad stuff!

Missing order
I placed an order online in May 2020 and part of it never came.
I sent emails, got no reply.
I made phone calls and left several messages to them, got no reply.
I filled a BBB complaint, they didn't even bother to response to BBB!
Preferred solution: Refund OR deliver product or service ordered, and apology!
User's recommendation: Horrible business! No customer at all!
