Beware of Landlord
True story a former tenant of Elise Kiely from Falmouth, Maine. We lived in her two unit apartment building in Portland for a year.
When we moved out she kept 327.00 dollars of our security deposit because she ordered heating oil for the tenant that moved out of the downstairs unit and was delivered to the wrong oil barrel. Now this happened in May and we moved out the end of July and she never contacted us in regards of this mistake. We contacted her many time during the month of August and she would never return our phone calls. I get a letter in the mail with a check of the remaining balance of our security deposit.
I am a professional and have no problem dealing with people on a professional level. We had no opurtunity to discuss this issue with her. I will allow you to draw your own conclusion about this story.
I am just trying to help those potential tenants to be better educated before entering into a lease with her.
