I was shortchanged 10 dollars and was met with skepticism when I informed the cashier of it.

Why can't we edit out own posts? Because I've got an awesome toddler who likes to "help me type." But I hope you all understand what I am saying.

Original review May 04, 2013

I was purchasing a toy car for 12.99. I payed with a 100 dollar bill.

There were 2 females at the register and Female #1 rang me up. She said my change was 85.94, and she gave my change back without counting it back to me. So, still standing at the counter, I counted the bills myself. It was 3 20's and 3 5's.

Female #1 walked away already, so I told Female #2 that my change was 10 dollars short, giving her the 75 dollars to count out. She calls Female #1 back and they are talking amongst themselves about what's going on and then I am told that they would like my name and number so at the end of the day, if the register is short, they would call me. I saw this as an odd response and asked them why it's such a big deal and that they are basically accusing me of trying to steal from them. So I asked for a complete refund and left the store.

Once I got outside, I thought better of it and went back in to ask for the manager. I got to talk to her and tell her I was not happy with how I was treated. By this point, I have cause a scene and some nosy lady tells me that I am over reacting. I told her it was none of her business.

She then says, well I can hear you yelling so now it's my business. Okay. Great. What about the fact that I was shortchanged 10 dollars and made to feel like I am trying to dupe them when I call them out on it.

I am not happy about this.

I feel like I was treated with skepticism because I don't look like the other "moms" in that store. I'm a tattooed, naturalized American citizen and my dollar is worth the same as any other person's dollar.
