Canceled Run with No Notice, No Refund - SCAM Company
- - A prepaid 5K was advertised in Emerson, GA.
- - They canceled months ago, but money was taken until race day.
This company advertised a 5K race in Emerson, GA. The event was prepaid.
When runners showed up the day of the race, the venue reported that the company had canceled the race 'months ago'. Yet, as we're being provided this information, the company's website is ticking down to the start of the race. They continued to advertise the race and take money right up until race day and didn't notify any participants that the race was canceled. I finally got someone to promise to send a refund check within the week, but months later, the check has not been received.
Now the company is advertising another race in Dallas TX in February 2017.
I plan to contact every consumer protection agency out there. These people should be arrested for FRAUD!
Preferred solution: Full refund
