LC Staffing

I have worked with LC Staffing on multiple occasions throughout the past few years. I only use them sparingly in the event that finding a job through different methods isn't fruitful.

I remembered today why I don't use them often.

I called them about a posting and the agent, named "Amy", was obviously of the opinion that this particular job was out of my league. She was condescending and judgmental. She hadn't even seen my resume and told me it "wouldn't be a good fit". I was exceptionally polite and professional.

These people don't want to help you find a job. To understand why you have to understand how this business makes money.

They only make money by placing employees with a company. Most of the time this looks like a company paying LC staffing directly for your labor, and then LC Staffing pays you. The incentive for this business is not to waste their time with people they deem to be unworthy. That's why the agents are rude and impatient.

It's similar to HR departments at big companies. The only thing HR departments care about is protecting the company from financial liability. They don't care about you. If you're a litigation risk then yea, they'll bend over backwards for you. But if you're not going to sue they will blow you off.

So, to summarize, don't use LC Staffing. They won't call you for the jobs you want, they wont work for you and help you get the job you need. They don't give a ***. All they care about is getting their money.

I have been interviewed twice and applied for several positions through them and never once been notified of open positions for me even though I see new ones on indeed.com. all the time. They are a waste of time.

Eight years ago this was a tip-top employment agency. Unfortunately, a lot has changed since that time, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

First, the light-industrial supervisor Amy Pearson treats you condescendingly, and turns her nose up at you if you don't arrive in a suit and tie for the interview even though you're applying for labor, not clerical, work. She said I needed to "clean myself up" even though I was freshly showered and dressed in clean clothes. Then when she did call me it was for an assignment that she couldn't get anyone to accept because of the pathetically low wage being offered. I don't have a car and the assignment would've started before the city bus could get me out there, and she expected me to ride a bicycle 7 miles early in the morning to the job site and then wait an hour after an 8-hour workday to get the bus back to town.

And when I refused she got all huffy and said it was "doable." Uh, maybe for twice the paltry $8.50/hour wage but sure as heck not for $8.50/hr. I complained to headquarters about the rude treatment, and I've never had a call from this office since even though the last time I worked there in 2005 I had a perfect record of never missing a day or coming in late or leaving early.

So avoid the Missoula office at all costs.
