Sofa warranty

Bought a new sofa from Lazy Boy Sept. 2011. Today 5/31/13 I sat on the sofa and the back of the sofa went to the wall as if not connected to the base of the sofa. I called customer service regarding the lifetime warranty, and mind you, this sofa is only 1 yr 8 months old. I talked to the customer service rep. and was told they charge $99.00 per hour to evaluate and the same for each hour it takes to fix and repair the sofa. The part was warrantied, and would be free, but the labor could cost upwards of what I paid for this sofa. I was horrified that they could do this. When I bought this sofa the wife and I found nice looking and much less expensive sofas at numerous stores in the area. We chose lazy boy because it was one of the few American made furniture mfg. companies with supposed high quality standards. Boy were we surprised today. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy their products as their scam warranty and especially their quality is not what it used to be. I told them to forget the repair i'm going to toss the sofa in the trash and go buy a new one at half the price, probably made in china and sent to the state for assembly. The only advise I can pass on to anyone reading this, is check the warranty. It stinks to high heaven. Not the same company I used to deal with in the past, and never will deal with again in the future. Anybody buying from them is going to get the treatment as many of us on this web page has experienced. If it sounds like sour grapes, it is. One p-ssed off customer.

Scalded Tongue

I ordered a hot chocolate and I scalded my tongue. I notified the waiter that the hot chocolate was so hot that after stirring it for 10 minutes outside, it was still too hot to drink but a sip at a time. I asked if the hot chocolate came from a machine and he said yes. The waiter said that he would let them know that it was too hot. After one week I still felt burnt on the tip of my tongue. I later found out that it was not machine made and made from my server. This appears to be gross neglecence of health and safety codes and possible intentional.
