Falsely charged the fee without performing the service promised

Lawngevity - Falsely charged the fee without performing the service promised

I received a mail promotion on a one-time pest control (Foundation Spray) from this company, so I decided to give them a try. I have been promised over the phone that someone will show up in 2 business days and provide a service.

I never saw or heard anyone knock on my door or ring my doorbell on the promised date and time so I just thought they did not show up or forgot.

Approximately a bit more than a month later, I get a paper bill from them that I owe them money with late fees and interest.

I called them and asked when they showed up and when they billed me first.

They told me 2 guys showed up and did the work and left a paper bill on my front door.

They also said since there were 2 guys they can "vouch" each other for the work they did.

I have a nest cam on my front door and an Arlo camera in my front yard. Plus, I was working from home on the day they claimed they came and did the service.

However, I did not see anything.

On their own website lawngevity.org, they claim the following but never being followed.

We notify you each time before an application is applied.

If you feel you have received and paid for an application in error, we would be happy to refund the cost of the service.

I wanted to share this with everyone so no one gets scammed like I did with this company. I am not planning on taking them over to the small claims court, but I intend to do everything in my power to inform everyone possible
