Resolved: FALSE REPRESENTATION
- - One office was unavailable; SRIS Law Group was listed as a Richmond office; $500 retainer paid; consultation moved to Fairfax and refund processed.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I called and made a FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM to Legal Aid Society.
I CAN NEVER EVER TRUST THEM AGAIN
Since we reside in Central Virginia, Richmond, Virginia to be exact. I asked for them to please send a list of area law offices so that I could have a sit-down, face-to-face consultation about my pending legal issue. After I received the list, each one was contacted. One office was no longer available.
The next office was portrayed as a Richmond area law office: SRIS Law Group. This concern had a Richmond, Virginia phone number and a Richmond area postal zip code. I spoke to the individual at the other end of the phone. They told me that they could help me.
They also told me that a face-to-face consultation would be provided. First, I needed to fill out the application form and submit to them my retainer of $500.00. All of this was done. The required information was submitted.
Payment was taken. Then I was advised that my sit-down, face-to-face consultation would be taking place only in Fairfax, Virginia. The entire event and listing was a rouse. I was livid.
I wasn't going to be taken like a fool. I demanded a refund. They told me that it would take the refund 7-10 days to process. They eventually processed the refund.
To have this happen, SRIS Law Group had to cancel all portions of my transaction. This wasn't the end of it. For money to be paid, I've been used to money going out and deducted from my account. The SRIS Law Group made everything happen by actually canceling the entire transaction.
Something that I had not ever experienced.
Be cautious. Be forewarned.
