I advise anyone to find a more competent workers comp firm!
Note the following statement is only stating the facts, no misrepresentation of the truth, whatsoever!
I would advise, unless you don't mind getting demoralized and ripped-off, to search for a different workers comp. attorney.
This firm is the most rude attorney I have ever dealt with. Mr. Moore said even though he's my wife's attorney, he can't give her ADVICE on her matter. She has to make the decision on her own.
I thought the whole purpose of an attorney was to represent us and give us direction and council. Our last attorney was wonderful compared to this guy. He pushed us to quickly take the settlement instead of pursuing further. Said if we didn't accept now, they may rescind their ridiculous low offer.
He was very rude and short to me when I had questions on why he was over charging my wife. Said that's between my wife and him. Florida statue states that a workers comp case standard fee is 20% that a lawyer can charge. He's charging her 33.33%!
His assistant was very rude multiple times.
She's accused me of pretending to be my wife and sending correspondence in her name when in reality it was my wife sending the emails! The assistant even lied in correspondence, saying Mr. Moore was out of town and couldn't be reached, but then HE replied only mins later. SHE(the attorney's assistant) threatened to terminate the case because we had inquiries on why there was an additional fee of $375 that wasn't going to be in original judge's order.
Said she's very concerned WHY we were asking about the addt'l charges. Mr. Moore couldn't even explain what the fee was. He said, because we already signed the original paperwork, if we didn't like his fee's, my wife could find a different attorney.
He would not meet with us unless we drove the 50 miles to Tampa. That's unheard of. He wouldn't even send us the paperwork to sign or actually meet us(like most attorney's do) to do the paperwork. WE had to print it ourselves, get notarized and mail ALL paperwork back.
HUH? Isn't that why they get hired & paid? He was also rude to the notary when she had questions on where he wants the notary info. Don't let the positive reviews overshadow the MULTIPLE negative ones.
If you notice, all the negative Google reviews have sorta the same sentiment.
P.S.
Yes, he did get us a settlement. The SAME settlement we would have received that was offered from the w/c case worker without all the hassle of his firm!
Mr. Moore worked with me in a diligent timely manner...
Easily Mr. Moore is very personable, friendly, and made my workmans comp.
case proceed with zero stress. I was also very pleased with the monotary settlement he won for me as well.
Thanks again Mr. Kevin MOORE...
Best Attorney yet!
On a few occasions I have had to arm myself with an Attorney. They are all not created equal.
Kevin Moore is a credit to his profession. Legal advice was instant, precise and without hesitation. I was never kept in the dark as the process unfolded and got amazing results. Believe me, I am glad he was working for me!
If you need someone who needs to be tough when it counts and keeps his cool, this is the guy. Do yourself a favor and stop looking.
I have used quite a few attorneys and I know. The minute I spoke with Kevin I knew he would get the job done .
Lawyer ripped off balance of unused retainer
I secured the services of Christopher Yeazell, an attorney w/ the Law Offices of Kevin A Moore in Dec. 2005 as my divorce attorney. After the initial consultation, I felt very much in the dark about what was going on and that Mr. Yeazell was not expediting the situation. My primary relationship with him was leaving messages on his voice mail.
I found out that Mr. Yeazell had been devoting virtually all his energies to a murder trial. He assured me that his law offices would not take on cases they could not devote appropriate energies to. A requisition for all my records ane expenses came from the opposing attorney. This was forwarded to me exactly as received without any explanation or guidance as to what I should do.
Upon meeting w/ Mr. Yeazell in person in April 2006, I found he was preparing for yet another murder trial. I decided to find another attorney who only specialized in family law instead of as a sideline. Upon interviewing attorneys in the area, I asked their opinions on the 'non-refundable' retainer w/ Mr. Yeazell. They all felt that despite the language, any honorable attorney would return the balance and that it should not be a windfall for doing nothing.
I received a voice mail from Mr. Yeazell asking for verification of the change of attorney and that he wanted to 'discuss' my retainer and my reasons for changing attorneys. I then called back multiple times, each time getting his voicemail. I finally articulated my reasons for changing attorneys to his voicemail. He never called back.
I finally sent a letter in August 2006 asking for the balance of my fees retainer and an accounting of the costs retainer. I received a letter back from Mr. Yeazell stating that since it was a non-refundable retainer, he was pocketing the money, nearly $3000. There also was no accounting for the costs retainer. A check for the costs retainer arrived w/o accounting late December 2006.
I entered a complaint with the Hillsborough County Consumer Affairs and was told that the bar association 'policed their own' and that the county and the state had no authority to do anything!!! The bar association wasn't interested.
So the moral of this story to avoid being ripped off yourself is don't hire Christopher Yeazell or anyone else in the Law Offices of Kevin A Moore and don't sign a 'non-refundable' retainer agreement w/ any attorney.

Since hiring this guy. Can’t get anything done, I hired him because I don’t know anything about Workmen’s Comp., I’ve been dealing with an injury right now for a half a year, and I’m thinking I probably should’ve never hired this guy, and now I’m stuck..
