Basically in business to steal retainers

They took a $7500 retainer for immigration work, never lifted a finger to do the work and are

Now concocting stories as to why they shouldn’t refund it after I had to switch attorneys. They admitted that they didn’t escrow it and had already spent the money.

He and his partner Chris Bagnato really took me to the cleaners. Took my retainer, did absolutely no work, then claimed they have a no refund policy.

Erik Jensen Has Been Sued 6 Times In 9 Years By His Clients In Philadelphia Municipal Court

Law Office Of Erik B Jensen - Erik Jensen Has Been Sued 6 Times In 9 Years By His Clients...

I used to work for Erik Jensen, P.C. and the previous reports are true. Erik has been sued for malpractice at least 5 times. He has also been sued 6 times in the last 9 years in Philadelphia Small Claims Court by his clients.

Erik was sued for botching very simple cases, including:

1. Third Party Negotiation

2. A Case Against a Finance Company

3. A Closing on a Property Purchase

4. Divorce

5. D.U.I.

6. I.R.S. Tax Filing

Erik is the worst attorney that I have ever worked for. He has had a revolving door of attorneys work for him over the past 10 years. Attorneys come and go because they know that they will eventually ruin their reputations by working for him. This is why he currently has young and inexperienced attorneys working at his practice. However, they will wise up and move on too.

I am surprised that more of his clients have not chosen to sue him. I dealt with irate clients almost every week that I worked at Erik's practice. He missed deadlines and court dates and misplaced files on a weekly basis. It is also true that he will take any client whom he meets with whether he is qualified to represent them or not.

Stay away from Erik Jensen and do your best to retain an attorney who practices in a specific area of law. I have seen many clients meet with Erik who are in desperate need of the services of a specialist. I would not retain Erik Jensen to represent me for a speeding ticket. He would either screw it up or miss the hearing - TRUST ME !

Hello, has Erik Jensen always conducted his firm in this fashion? It's not nice reviews he seemed new what he was doing.

But, in lieu of what you stated not now. Andrea,

I couldn't agree more. His firm represented me and the initial attorney seemed pretty competent but then the attorney that showed up at the hearing was lost and worthless. what an embarrassment.

I retained Erik Jensen to represent me in my "adjustment of status" case. During the course of this representation and paperwork preparation, I would go to his office to review and sign the forms, I would continually find mistakes on these forms, names, dates, passport number etc. This turned out to be a kind of blessing in disguise.

Section 212(a)(9)(B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, Known as "the 3/10-year bar," this provision bars from re-entry or adjustment of status those who have accumulated more than six months of illegal presence. Illegal aliens with six to 12 months of unlawful presence are barred for three years; those here for more than a year illegally are barred for 10 years.

This law applied to me, But Erik Jensen seemed oblivious to this, and went ahead with the paperwork and charged me $3000 up front. Only my due diligence in researching immigration law while he made multiple mistakes on the forms, and filed forms that did not apply to my case allowed me to find this law before he could file the final paperwork, when I confronted him on this he was clueless. I demanded a refund, but he refused. I went to another lawyer and in the first 5 minutes of meeting me he said "you are subject to a ten year bar under Section 212(a)(9)(B)" Do not file any adjustment of status paperwork, it will cause you to be deported. Come back and see me in 3 years, when the bar expires, then we will file, no charge for today's meeting.

I would advise all to stay far away from this unprofessional shyster.
