To Ms. Andreea,

Sales Associate, Lasco Ford

Fenton, MI

I pray that your day so far is going well for you.

I am sending this email to you, and will cc it to the owner of Lasco Ford, and to the Parent Ford Motor Company as well. I will also use social media to voice my concerns. On November 4th, my son and I drove to Fenton to look at a Used Ford Escape, which I had seen "on line",which happened to be a 2009 Escape. However, my son and I drove around the used car area to see if we could see what was there that I would be interested in buying. Saw several cars that looked nice, and would work in my financial budget, I was told that the 2009 Escape was no longer available, but was shown a 2008 Escape, which was very nice. So, we started the process of getting the info together to purchase this vehicle. Let me digress a little. I spoke with you, Andreea, on the phone, at that time you gave me a list of items to bring with me which I did. Copies were made. My son, you and myself went for a test drive. I really did like the car. You proceeded to find financing for me. The internet sales manager entered the waiting area and proceeded to tell me and everyone else that my income was not sufficient. Andreea asked if I could find a co-signer, which I said I would. She asks for a deposit of $100 to hold the car. I found someone to co-sign for me the next day and I gave them the number to call and submit an app. Because this person, (my daughter who has a very substantial income being a staff nurse, and her husband as well being a US Veteran) had purchased a vehicle was not qualified. It was obvious that Andreea was not diligent in putting me in this vehicle. Phone calls were not returned etc. So I called the dealership to request my deposit be returned. They said it could not be mailed, and they needed me to bring the receipt. I drove with my son to get my deposit after waiting for over an hour; another sales person said there was no one there that could sign a check, and it would have to be mailed. The $100 deposit had already been processed, even though I had not yet been approved for the car. 2008 Escape I have been a Ford Motor Co. car buyer for over 40 years, I have purchased Mustangs, Lincoln Navigators, Lincoln Town cars, etc. Now that I am retired and my income is not up to standard even with a co-signer, I was denied a purchase. Thanks for your attention to this complaint.

Lasco Ford unfair charge to exteded warranty

We purchased a 2005 Ford Freestar from Lasco Ford in Fenton MI in August 2005 along with an extended warranty. We were told the full amount of the warranty would be refunded if we did not use it. The only warranty work done on the vehicle was while it was still under the 36,000-mile factory warranty.

When we applied to Signet Financial Group for the refund, they said we were inelible because there was a charge. Lasco Ford charged us $36 for a "courtesy" vehicle they loaned us while they waited for parts they ordered for the work they did on our Freestar while it was still under factory warranty. We were told it was "standard" practice to charge a courtesy vehicle to people with extended warranties without their knowledge or consent.

We have been back and forth with both Lasco Ford and Ford Motor Company for more than two months. All they are interested in doing is passing the blame back and forth and refusing to take any responsiblity or help us get our $2,100 back.

If you purchase an extended warranty--which I will never make the mistake of doing again--you might as well use it because they is no way you are ever getting your money back. I will also never again purchase a vehicle from Ford Motor Company of Lasco Ford.

Excuse me Mr. Not Dumb, but we did do our research and the company that sells the extended warranty (in this case Signet) was legally required to refund the cost of the extended warranty if is not used. Why don't you do your homework before posting comments and making yourself look like an ***.

You people are idiots to think you get your money back for buying an extended warranty. It's extra money the dealership makes. No dealer would refund that much even if you didn't use the policy

Posted someting on Lasco Ford's facebook page advising anyone considering purchasing a vehicle--especially with an extended warranty--to refer to this website.

Looks like I'm getting burned by the same company (Lasco and Signet Financial). I did not use one cent of the warranty, but I'm being told Signet no longer exists and I'll just have to take the loss.

"Lasco's" comments were "...you losing this money is no different than the individuals who got burned in the ENRON scam..." You've got to be kidding me Lasco, you sell me a bill of goods from a scam business and then tell me to suck it up!

I will never buy from Lasco of Fenton, or a Ford product ever again. :(

I've heard nothing but bad things about this place, it would be in your best interest to stay away from this joint. :cry
