ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! 3 times they tried to get extra monies from us, and even resorted to threatening to not sell us a car if we didn't take their $499 added extra for car theft. The sales man quoted $6K for the used car we were interested in then came back and tried to take us for another $280.00 by saying the sales price was $6280.00. We said no and so they brought it back down to the $6K when I said what they were doing by advertising the vehicle for one price and then coming back and upping the price was illegal. When we went to sign the financing papers there was a charge for $499.00 which the finance guy said was mandatory for a customer to take if someone wanted to buy a car at Larry H Miller. When we asked what it was for he said that in case our car got stolen it would pay $5000 over whatever our insurance paid out, and offered credit protection. We told the guy we didn't want it and he had the gall to say "then we will not sell you a car". UNBELIEVABLE! They he tried to say that he could take it off but then he would have to raise the price to $6500. When asked if it was a Utah requirement to have this he said no, it was Larry H Miller's deal. After arguing with him he brought the finance manager over and he then took it off. Finally, and this is the biggest rip off, the had added $795 for gap insurance. We thought it was to carry us over till we talked to our insurance agent and added the vehicle to our policy. NOPE! It was to over any cost of covering the loan should our vehicle get totaled and we owed more than what our insurance company paid. When we called our insurance company the agent got really mad, as she had heard stories like this all too often. Our insurance company offered this optional coverage for $10 per year, or $40 for the term of our loan. A difference of $760! And when they tack this fee on it is carried till the end of the contract so that you don't pay it off till at the very END of the loan, paying interest on the full amount till then. The salesman who helped us with the car agreed we could take it to our mechanic on Monday as it was Jan.1, a Saturday, and if he found things wrong with it we could bring it back and he would tear up our contract. We had to ague with the store manage to correct these things and when I told what his salesman had said about returning the carry should it not pass our mechanic's inspection, he said flatly no, he would not honor what we had been told by his salesman who was standing right there and told his manager that he had indeed, told us that very thing. We were lied to, manipulated, made to feel that we were in the wrong and that if we didn't agree to their extras, we could not buy the car. We should have walked out as soon as the lies and manipulation started. We are people who believe that you treat others with the same respect and consideration you want to be shown. While we still believe that, we also learned that there are greedy and unethical people out there who will rob you while telling what great people they are. And the manager never apologized for the lies and shady practices this employees use. DON'T GO THERE. READ THE HORRIBLE REVIEWS THIS COMPANY GETS.
