Resolved: Unauthorized use of rewards points

AI Highlights
  • - Unauthorized use of Landry points at Morton Honolulu; $50 charged to Landry account on a $222.77 bill; requests for refund and manager follow-up have not been answered.
Updated by user Jan 23, 2026

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. They gave back the money that was taken from the account.

No apology only a warning if it happened again they wouldn’t be able to honor it. Very disappointed in the customer satisfaction but at least they made it right.

Call and email and ensure you speak with a supervisor. Take to yelp and other forms since it seems they won’t be offering assistance when you ask at first.

Original review Jan 08, 2026
On December 29, 2025, at Morton Steak House in Honolulu, Hawaii,
there was an unauthorized use of my rewards points.
On December 26, I bought a gift card $250
for a dinner for my family. A couple of days before the dinner, I called Morton's Honolulu and spoke with a hostess to confirm they could accommodate my disabled family member.

On the day of the dinner, I spoke to David, the manager, to ensure everything would be fine.
I explained that I wanted to use the Landry $250 gift card for this dinner, and everything left on the card was intended for the tip. David asked for my Landry Select Club card number. I understood the policy to be that you cannot use the Landry number without the person being present.
Instead of using only the gift card, $50 was taken from my Landry's account. The total bill was $222.77, which meant the Morton's Steak House waiter received a $77 tip!

I can't believe someone would take advantage of disabled individuals!
I would like my $50 returned to my Landry account.
Called the Landry Select Club on December 30th I spoke to Megiule, who listened to my complaint and helped by bypassing Justin to get a manager to review the situation. Megiule, he was very helpful and mentioned that the manager, Daniela Rosales, would email me back.
On January 8, 2026, at 10:09 AM,
I still hadn't heard from Daniela via email or phone, so I called the Landry Line customer service and spoke with Marissa.
She was not helpful at all, stating that a decision was made on the 5th. I explained that no one had followed up with me regarding the situation. I asked if the policy had changed, but she refused to answer.

Furthermore, I requested Daniela's personal email, but she would only connect me to the Landry customer complaint line, which only takes voicemails at 1-80*-***-****.
I feel extremely disrespected by Landry. Being a member is supposed to come with perks, and the lack of communication is unacceptable.
Customer service has declined, and maybe being a Landry member is not worth it!

Bad experience at Mitchell’s Fish Market on 11/12 in Livonia MI

  • - Only one crab cake and it was tasteless.
  • - Arnold Palmer was good; drink $5 and $2 refill.
  • - Carrot cake has pecans; no allergy notice; compensation.

There were 3 of us for lunch. Their lunches were fine.

I ordered crab cakes that came with corn and mashed potatoes for $24.50. First - complaint - only one crab cake. Second, it was tasteless - to me, it didn't even taste like crab. Third, I ordered an Arnold Palmer, which was good and got a refill.

When I got the bill, the drink was $5.00, and they charged $2.00 for a refill. I order these all the time and have never paid $5.00, nor have I ever paid for a refill. Last - my friend and I cannot eat nuts. We ordered the $17.00 (ridiculous price) carrot cake because it never had nuts.

We get it, and it is now made in-house and contains pecans. The waiter said it has been like this since he worked there. The manager said that yes, they changed the cake to have nuts. But the main issue is that they never asked if we had nut allergies, and since we never saw it on the menu, it was just delivered.

This lunch cost me $50.00.

I would like some kind of compensation. Ruthann maggietd@***.com

Maybe a hotdog from the local convenience store is more your style. First, the crab cake is listed as such.

It is not plural and does not state “more than one”. Their appetizer “perfect for sharing” menu lists crab cakeS that combined weigh much less than your entree. Second, the Arnold Palmer was correctly priced. $5/refill $2.

It even states certain flavors are $6/refill $4. Finally, the $17 carrot cake’s description is “perfect for sharing”. So not that ridiculous. Especially considering the price was listed.

In regards to your allergy? You know very well you should not be assuming ANYTHING.

You needed to address these concerns at the time they arose. Not keep a list of grievances. You deserve nothing.

Guest

If only there were some like a menu to tell prices. And if YOU have an allergy YOU be responsible for yourself and ask.
