2018 Crosstrek paint problems

The 2018 orange Crosstrek I purchased less than 2 years ago with only 15,000 miles has developed pits in the paint on the hood. I took it Landers/McLarty Subaru in Huntsville only to discover they have no power to do anything other than fill out paperwork.

Really kicking myself for falling for the false notion that Subaru is different than other car companies. I am waiting to see if they indeed stand behind their products.
