Terrible
I ordered two sconces from Lamps Plus Open Box ($59 each, vs the $99 each at regular Lamps Plus). One of them was delivered to me, and the other was sent back due to an incorrect address (despite them being sent to the same address).
I contacted customer service and all they could do was offer me a refund. I called again trying to have the same $59 sconce sent back to me (they just received it, so you'd think routing it back to me would not be a problem). But now I'm being told it's not showing in stock and the only ones available are $99 at Lamps Plus, and they cannot offer me the same $59 open box price. All of this due to an error on their end with shipping.
Now I have one sconce without a match, and do not care to spend the extra money. They're OK in person but for $99 each I would just shop elsewhere.
This whole thing has been a headache and customer service is rather unhelpful. I won't be ordering there again.

Buyer beware
Purchased chandelier from Lamps Plus Open Box. It was too large for the space, so I tried to return it to Lamps Plus and it turns out it is a different company. Now I have to ship the box back to Lamps Plus Open Box at ANOTHER $48.00, which is too heavy to lift.
Personnel at Lamps Plus just recited that the information was on the web site, reminded me that the copy of the order did say “ Lamps Plus Open Box” and was totally disinterested in being of any assistance.
BUYER BEWARE. Read VERY small print in Lamps Plus Open Box before purchasing.

Received a dining light that was pretty cheap not worth the $489.00 "open box price"....the shipping to my home was 49.00 non refundable and they charged me 27.00 to return. Long story short it cost me $76.00 for a product that I had to return because it was not as pictured.
If I would have bought it from the Lamps Plus regular site it was only 115.00 more and free shipping both ways.
I wound not have been out penny. Also the customer service for the Open Box is awful....when calling for a return receipt they were more than rude.
No problems with customer service
I bought an exterior wall light in January 2017. I went to install it almost a year later and discovered that there were only two pieces of glass, instead of the needed four, in the box.
I still had the receipt and order number and called them. They had no attitude or anything negative and apologized. I received two pieces of glass by fedex a few days later. So, yes, they screwed up on the initial order, but made it right without any ***.
I'm a happy customer and would recommend Lamps Plus Open Box. Hmmm, they want at least 100 words---what else can I say to make this go over their minimum?
Received open box items that were supposed to be new
August 2017. Contacted Lamps Plus (ticket# 247886) but zero response.
Having spent $5,000 on 3brand new lights, i was very dissapointed to find that 2 of the lights were 'open box' items that had previously been installed. To be clear, all the parts were there and the lights worked (we didn't want to wait the extra time for returns and replacements) but I'm very disappointed that at these kind of price points that LampsPlus would ship an open box items without even a call or email to advise. If the product page had been clear that these were I would have gone elsewhere for this purchase.
even if this is addressed in their sales term small print, I think the sales practices are insufficiently transparent. As a customer I want to be able to chose whether or not to purchase an open box item, and to be frank if another reputable dealer is selling the same brand new item at the same price in an unopened box then I'm going to go with the other retailer.

Ordered a cake stand for my wedding from open box and it was great!!
I was googling Lamps Plus Open Box to see if I could find another good deal on stuff for my wedding and I saw these complaints. Obviously my item is not an electrical item, but I did want to let people know that I got a cake stand for my groom's cake that was metal with a mirrored top and crystals that hang from it and all the parts are there.
Nothing is broken. It is absolutely perfect but lots cheaper just because it was open box!! So just wanted to let people know it's worth a shot. You just might get a quality item for a lot less!!
I'm actually glad I found this site because I'm pissed on how a wedding dress company won't let you return a new unused item that doesn't fit. If I had come here and found this website first I would have saved $150!!!

Lamp shown as iridescent blue and arrived as muddy grey
I ordered a gorgeous-colored blue iridescent lamp (Mia Possino iridescent drip blue table lamp). It arrived as a really muddy grey lamp.
Lamps plus would not acknowledge the color difference, thus not paying return postage. Adios, Lamp Plus Open Box! Really stubborn management, not at all customer accomodating. I called and the agent said the manager said that the website said there could be a color difference, but this was a totally different color than the web photo.
I had to pay postage to return the item - they wouldn't even consider offering kind customer service to a returning client. How sad - as they stuff I've bought before was great.
Junk and do not waste your money
Bought lights that were very expensive. Once received I was very disappointed in the quality.
The glass goes in like a picture frame with tabs. The lights have to be marked up 1 trillion percent even on sale. Called them to see if they could help me with the cost since they were already installed and just wanted a little help. They wanted a consultant to call me about the corrosion possibilities.
Now I am wondering how bad these lights really are. Never again and I spreading the word to never purchase from this site.
They will not help you and they are junk made in China. Do not buy you will regret it.
Fountain
I ordered a fountain from Lamps Plus and less than three weeks after installing, the lighting was burned out from water splashing down from the top tier. Because this is the way it is made, no use replacing the lighting as it would just happen again.
Because Lamp Plus only sale this item from another company, I was told they can not credit any money back for this problem. It has already been installed so I will not return it. Please be aware that the lighting is a problem before buying this product. Rest of fountain looks fine so far but would look mush better with the lighting.
Service person I talked to was not helpful at all.

I JUST PURCHASED A CUPID WATERFOUNTAIN FOR 149.00....PLEASE CREDIT MY ACCOUNT..... MY HUSBAND SAID WE WILL BOUNCE OUR RENT PAYMENT THIS MONTH AND ALSO HE SAID THIS FOUNTAIN IS MUCH TOO LARGE.....I DIDNT REALIZE WHEN I HAD PLACED THE ORDER HOW VERY LARGE IT WAS FOR THE TINY APARTMENT WE LIVE IN.

Defective Merchandise
Ordered a floor lamp. Very stylish with a sophisticated design.
It was *** to get out of the box but not that hard to assemble. Difficult to disassemble and put back in the box. The lamp blew out all the fuses in my apartment. Sparks came out of two outlets.
The merchandise had to be defective. A Customer Service Representative told me when I purchased the order (over the phone) that it was a floor model and NOT A RETURN. This was not true as I was told it was a return from the Customer Service Representative.
Thus, Lamps Plus Open Box pushes its merchandising nightmare off onto the consumer. Don't waste your time.
This ordeal has taken me two hours to correct.
No one has that kind of time. Don't buy anything from them as you are saving neither time nor money.

Wrong fan blades packaged with order
After seeing the minka concept hugger fan listed on Lampsplus I spoke with their customer sales representative Ani who assured me that the fan was one of their more popular fans. I placed my order which arrived in approximately 8 working days. When the electrician tried to install the fan, strangely the holes of the fan blades did not align with the attaching screws of the motor. This perplexed the electrician who commented that the blades did not fit appropriately in the styrofoam packaging slot. I immediately called Lampsplus customer service to complain about the mixup. The service representative stated she never heard of this complaint before. She offered to send me a set of new blades but when I asked for overnight shipping I was told that it couldn't be done. It would arrive in the normal shipping time of 7 to 10 days. Afterwards, I called back to complain. This time they offered expedited 3 day shipping. Because I am used to excellent customer service of Amazon, the experience of dealing with Lampsplus was quite disappointing. As I anxiously await for the new blades I wonder if the rumors concerning Lampsplus tampering with original products will be the case. I resolve never to do business with Lampsplus again even if they have the best listed price. The aggravation is not worth the few dollars in savings. Don't waste your time and money with this company. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Open Box lamp is not worth even the reduced price
I ordered a lamp from LampsPlus.com in their OPEN BOX category. It arrived within 2 weeks but had scrapes, tape sticky places, broken glass pieces in the Tiffany shade and a control switch that works only ittermitently.
Though they tout "100% satisfaction guarntee", return shipping would be at my own expense and the original shipping is not refundable. They require return in the original packaging but that packaging had to be dismantled to get the pieces out to assemble the lamp. Plus, they state that they will only refund if an inspection proves "satisfactory" - while what I received wasn't even "satsifactory".
At this point, it's not worth returning the lamp but I'd warn others to not bother to ever order from LampsPlus.com.

Wrong Order Review
I placed two orders with in 30 minutes. One order was sent to the wrong address, the second was lost by FedEx and the Post Office.
In the many emails and phone calls with Lamps Plus. Nothing was fine by Lamps Plus.
A complete run around. DON'T BOTHER USING THEM.

The Lamps Plus Open Box website is the worst website that I have ever tried to make a purchase in. I do not recommend purchasing anything from them online.
I have been patiently checking their website for the past 4 months for a light that I have tried to purchase 3 times already. Each and every time I place an order on the website - the order goes through - my bank account has funds pending for a week - then I receive an email stating that my order has been cancelled! Absolutely ridiculous! Their customer service dept.
could not match the price on another light - and I am seriously unsatisfied.
I have wasted my time with this company. Do not waste yours.....

I had this same problem with the lights but it was not from Lamps Plus. I went to the home improvement store and bought lights that go into the water and it works fine.
The cost is about 25 to 35 dollars.
I was thinking spending that little amount of money is a lot better than taking the whole fountain apart and returning it which I could have if I wanted too.
Hope that help because with the lights looks a lot better.
