Lakeside little league Granite Bay CA

This is not a safe place to have your children play little league baseball, there system is corrupted its president Mike Egan, has no experience in management and allows managers to manipulate the league so that children are abused. This situation an all star player who was the starting pitcher in 2008 and 2009, wasn't selected because the all star coach Gary brown wanted his son to be the number one pitcher, so he mental attached and abused this player. He told the other managers before they voted behind closed doors that if this player was selected he wouldn't coach the team. Gary Brown had a cult at this baseball field, all who crossed him or didn't do as he requested child wouldn't be considered to play all stars. In this case this player finished his 3 years of major league baseball with the most home runs 9 in 2010 and most strike outs, in 2010 he pitched 6 games where he struck out 14 batters out of 18 outs, this player beat Gary Brown team 1st place team by pitching a 2 hitter and hit a 3 run home run. Lakeside little league will harm your child.

Gary Brown is a menace hurt our community big time. Took a lot of dreams away from innocent children living his youth through baseball. *** bag

Yes this is the Jerry Ponzo who has personally raised $30k when Ken Lynch son came down with stomach cancer. He also has donated his products through out the community fund raisers that surpass $100k in donations.

If you don't know him you should he is real, he doesn't live his childhood thru his children most he is a tell it as it is person.

So those of you on this post really should appreciate that what his son experienced is real and happened. Thank you Jerry for the heads up!!

Wow so sorry to read this post as I remember the situation very well. Gary Brown manipulated parents and the system without any regards to the children.

If you were not in his clan your child didn't have a chance regardless of his ability.

Mr.

Ponzo thank you for bringing forward your experience maybe it will for warn future families how the little league system can be abused that effect our precious children. Let the kids play.

I have to agree with Jerry my son was on the all star team where Gary Brown mentally abused children sad part is the children were aged 10-12 years old. Jerry is the only person who stood up for the children unfortunately none of us had the back bone thinking our child would be impacted.

As it ended our entire community was impacted. Very sad for our community and children to be subject to such abuse.

Good review Jerry Ponzo. I can see some of the lemming follower doing his bidding posted here. Don't let these knuckle-heads push you around...

Lakeside is a fantastic place for young men to learn to be exactly that. Polite, strong, ambitious boys with a strong sense of sportsmanship .

THE coaches are great the parents are dedicated and the boys behave like one big happy family.

Who ever that *** is that posted the first comment has issues, or perhaps his child is just a mediocre player and he can't accept that. Boy oh boy I agree granitebaymom he needs a life!!!

Nicole do you know when what or where obviously not.

You should learn facts and not support child abuse.

Your unbalanced and should show concern for any child who is abused by an adult. By supporting child abuse you are a very sick women

If this is the same Jerry Ponzo that operates a backyard improvement company, then in my opinion take his rant complaint with a grain of salt. It is written like the way he talks and acts....incoherrent.

This is typical of the "play my son" and over aggressive whiner. Get a life.

Granite bay mom very sad to see you support a situation where children are effected words will never counter the sickness you support.

Grip on life obviously you don't have any quality of life or self respect.

Your the reason why Granite Bay has the reputation it does.

Whiner hardly experience of the facts that impacts your children would be welcomed to healthy adults. I guess you showed your mental ability.
