Lakeland Quick Stop

To the public of the City Of Lakeland. I have been a local customer that have been doing business with this convenience store and under different branding and ownership's for over 25 years.

I recently had a very unpleasant experience with the racist ("Indian/Cashier Store Clerk") of the Lakeland Quick Stop. He was very rude to me after I declined the Debit/Credit Card fee the store impose if you do not use cash. Which I was aware of another local Indian business owner store in town is charging 3% fee for the use of Debit/Credit Cards. The Lakeland Quick Stop is charging customers far more than the 3% as like in my case.

Which I thought this was the merchant payment standard processing fee. I made a Debit card purchase of $3.54 and got charge with a fee of $0.50 for the use of the card. Note: If, you do your math customers that is 14% increase of all sales to use your Debit/Credit Cards at this store per customer. A 11% increase of an fee than their local competitors which expose this grievance act to defraud their customers.

This defrauding method alone can accumulate a daily excessive amount of revenue for the store. Given, if hundreds of customers choose to make a Debit/Credit Card purchase at this store high 14% per transaction percentage rate.

Therefore, I declined to pay the fee of $0.50 and I suggested to pay in cash instead to avoid the fee. The ("Indian/Cashier Store Clerk") got rude saying: ("Why you worrying about $0.50"). I replied back saying it is my $0.50.

He than aggressively used profound profanity at me calling me repeatedly (S.O.B's) and made several racist references to the ("N" Word") at me. I inform all Afro American/Black people do not do business at this store as long as the racist ("Indian/Cashier Store Clerk") of the Lakeland Quick Stop is serving at this location or ("Terminated") of his duties. *If he feel this way about me as a person and of an loyal customer than he definitely feel the same way about our entire race of people. Which is a disgrace when we support this local store largely in part and his ("skin color") is actually darker than mine as referencing me to the ("N" Word").

He need to look into the mirror in face his own ignorance. I have the right as a customer and I am under ("No Obligation") to pay such a fee. If I am willing to pay in cash to avoid this defrauding fee without being insulted as a customer!

Lastly, to the customer that was in favor of this store having to charge this fee in order to be relevant to stay in business. Is ignorance to the business marketing strategies of a store to keep repeated happy customers.

My solely point, of what I was trying to make before your interruption. It does not matter if you are a small local business owner or an well established business as like Walmart. Your bottom line come from your customers and the way you treat your customers has a lot to do with that to keep you in business. Besides, there are several new and successful businesses that have been established in the City Of Lakeland.

Which I have fact checked throughout the city that do not charge their customers for processing a Debit/Credit Card fee. So your 2 cents was baseless, the next time mind your own business.
