Boat Scam in North Texas with La Vida Starship

Boat Scam in North Texas with La Vida Starship
Boat Scam in North Texas with La Vida Starship
Thought I was buying a boat from a boat dealership. Wasted hours on the phone and email with Richard, the owner. Showed up, spent better part of day there. When it was time to do the paperwork, that's when he told me the boat was not actually owned by his dealership. It was owned by a "friend" that he was helping out. He didn't have a title or anything on the boat or trailer. Gave Richard the benefit of the doubt, and came back 2 days later. Still no paperwork, but he wanted my money. Argued for a while and he said he would take just a small deposit. I asked him how can a boat dealership advertise and sell boats that aren't there's to sell. He freaked out and showed the rest of his criminal colors. Check him out online. He has done this before, a lot. Selling boats without titles or any proof of ownership.

Who would buy at boat at this place? Its dilapidated.

The lost is full of scrap metal. La Vida Starship is a cemetery for boats.

I've been there. Owner has a screw loose.

He couldn't find boat keys, remember model years or prices.

It was sad watching him fumble around. Yes, it was a waste of time.

It took me over 8 months and a documented complaint with the BBB before I got my title from La Vida Starships. Owner is dubious. Texas DMV and Parks and Wildlife need to shut this operation down.
