I have read most of the complaints, I would like to know what Kwikset has done to resolve the issues, for example have they improved the finish on the door knobs, and the functionality and springs supports have they been strengthened? All in all what has Kwikset done to protect their company. I have purchased all door locks for the farm and our house and have them all keyed the same, so now we have only one key for the whole farm. I have 7 indoor locks that the finish started to peel off and also some mechanical issues had a case number after submitting pictures they had decided that those specific locks were not covered since they only carried a 5 year warranty, but i remember that the package said lifetime warranty. ..rhis company just DO NOT stand behien there product

Door lock is under warranty. Used for years, Spring apparently got worn and the cylinder part that keeps the door closed would get stuck. It was one of 2 in a set. I installed the other one and noticed the spring had more tension. Called Kwikset in California. Was on hold for 31 minutes. I purchased 2 Kwikset Powerbolt 2 I think it's the 909 and have had them on my doors for about 2 months now they work fantastic little tough at the beginning to figure out how to program but after that it was a breeze make sure when you put yours in to read the instructions because there is a code pre-programmed into the lock I'm not going to say the numbers butt read the instructions even if you think you know what you're doing if you do what... Received a lock with a bad cylinder. After spending 16 minutes on hold and expressing the urgency needed because I can't lock lock my front door if I leave, I am told they will send me a new cylinder ASAP. 8 days later it still isn't here and I have to call again. 31 minutes on hold to find out it will be here in 3 more days. Had they sent me that tracking I wouldn't have had to waste my time on the phone and I would have removed all Kwikset... Read more

I bought a total of three kwikset powerbolt 2 locks from Home Deppt. Each time I took it home and they never worked. The programming was always faulty. The last one was : Enter the access code and it unlocked the door but the Unlock button when pushed opened the lock with no code. I had bought a more expensive Kwikset lock the first time and it also did not program. Do they pick certain customers to sell trash ( have they a way to destroy... Read more

Worst customer sevice I have ever dealt with made me feel like I did something to to lock. She said she did'nt understand what I was telling her. I quess being a locksmith for 33 years I don't know what I'm talking about.I have to master key my apartment building and she can only send me smart key barrels which you cannot master key to varios keys. I phoned Quikset customer service and as expected it was about a 10 minute wait for a service representative to answer my call. The agent that took my call was "Anna". I provided her all the information I had and I asked her for her email address so that I could email her 3 photos to identify the lock I needed a knob for. My Kwikset deadbolt also locked us out, after about 4 years. I went to homedepot to replace it and was told that these sets have a lifetime warranty. I will be calling Kwikset in the morning to see if their customer service will be of any help. The lock will not turn to open on any of the doors. Disappointed..

we bought a new door and put on a new handle. While keying it with Smartkey it locked up and froze. We took the door lock off, drove 30 miles back to Lowes, leaving out house unsecured to discover. we had to buy the same piece of junk once again. Lowes can't work on the only other brand they carry. We bought the same piece of junk, against my better judgement and wanting my house secured. We drove 30 miles back home and can't even get this lock... Read more
