For the price rubbish
I wear my Kumfs for waitressing and am so disappointed that the whole sole has cracked and deteriorated. I would have been able to buy a cheap pair and they would have outlasted these ones lmonaghan@***.tas.gov.au

KUMFS SHOES FROM AUSTRALIA
Kumfs Shoes from Australia Am I angry ! I purchased Kumfs Shoes in New York less than two years ago. Paid over $250 for the most comfortable shoes I had ever tried. I used them occasionally and enjoyed their fit. I moved to Atlanta, Ga and continued to wear the shoes until last week when the sole on one shoe was torn abruptly and in a very awckward way. I called Kumfs Shoes in California (530) 676-**** (Mr.David Baccus) and left a detailed message with my issue, also mentioning that I did not expect a $250 shoe to break this quickly or drastically. A week later Mr. Baccus calls and says:"Are you Ms. Annie"? "Now, what do you expect from me after having had those shoes for 2 years"?"Am I understanding you right"? I was taken aback because truthfully I was not expecting much, but a courtesy call and a $20 gift certificate? Something to say that a company that makes $250 shoes stands behind their product and that this particular experience could have been a fluke... No, Mr. Baccus went on to say, that he should have never called me because he knew in advance that he would not give me any discount or help in the purchase of my next pair. Needless to say, I am never purchasing a KUMFS shoe from Australia again, and everyone I speak to about shoes is getting this story. A customer oriented manager and a small token of appreciation would have been enough in this case.

I bought a pair of shoes for winter and this would be the second season I've worn them. I too have experienced inferior shoes regarding the soles - the metal framework appeared, the soles cracked and pebbles/stones impregnated the rubber.
I'd say the rubber used is as soft as chewing gum! I've had cheaper shoes which have outlasted the distance but this pair, I'm sorry to say, was very poor indeed. I won't be buying another pair.
PS. I look after my shoes too.
I haven't contacted them yet but I expect the same result. The soles of my shoes totally deteriorated.
They have crumbled away all the way to the metal framework!!!
Won't buy another pair of Kumf's shoes.
You had the shoes for two years?
Get a life.
My mother wore kumfs never had any problems.
Why?
Because she looked after them that is why.
Throwing them in acubbord and forgetting about them asking for trouble. Shoes protect your feet, you only get one pair of feet so look after your shoes!
They will protect your feet!
Yes i have a similar problem with the sole disintegrating. I did have a similar problem about 2 years ago but they resoled them for me, but i heard they had a lot of problems with a special sole, but this time i do not think i will bother if this is their attitude. Very annoying as i too found the shoes very comfortable , and only wore them for special occasions but that was more than 2 years ago.
I bought my $169.00 Kumf shoe "loafer wedge, black shoe-New Zealand" from st louis , MO
I wore it for one year and forgot about it last winter took it out this winter . The heal and sole started to crumble and deteriorate, breaking in pieces.
I took it to a she repair store , He stated that the sole and heal is rotted ( I never heard that shoes can Rot too), I was welling to repair, but he explained to me it is beyond fixable.
advised me to contact Kumf Shoes and see what is their advise, but after reading the previous complaint I felt That no way my concern will reach to the manifacture to look for the reasons an expensive shoe like this start rotting so soon you loose it for no apparent reason.
