Nothing keeps getting the runaround; I even called Rockville and was told there was not a manager on site. It is illegal not to have a manager on site.
Preferred solution: Apology and a discount for being treated like cattle.

Verified ReviewerWas not happy with my last visit in Greensboro, North Carolina
I went there with a lady friend, one of my business partners, and his fiancée, and we were having problems using the burner. It was burning our food.
I brought this information to the manager on duty. I wasn't happy. The ladies weren't happy. My business partner wasn't happy; we spent $140 and we only had one serving because everything we were cooking was burning up.
We got a discount of $14 each. Each receipt was $71.98, and I was not happy at all. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I go to that location, and I've never had any problem.
I've been to the location in New York and never had a problem, and I would like to maybe be compensated or given a gift card because we spent $140 and we probably didn't even eat one meal due to the way the burners were working. I definitely know how to use the burners; the manager acknowledged that there have been several complaints by customers about the burners.
User's recommendation: none at that location the Raleigh location where I live yes, I would recommend it

Verified Reviewer |Poor experience.
Our previous experience at this KPOT restaurant was not only disappointing; it was insensitive. We came in hoping for a warm family meal, but instead were met with cold, unyielding policies and an utter lack of compassion. Our friends from another state have mentioned KPOT multiple times and were excited to try this new location local to us.
Our son, who is 5 years old and has special needs, does not eat the food typically served at hot pot restaurants. As any decent person would expect, we brought a small prepared meal for him, simply so he could be part of the family outing for dinner. But instead of understanding, we were told he could not bring his own food even though he wouldn't touch a single item from their menu. Worse yet, they insisted on charging us for him, despite him not eating anything from the restaurant. He is a very picky eater even at home.
We calmly explained the situation. Their response? A robotic, tone-deaf policy excuse. Not an ounce of empathy. Not a single attempt to accommodate. She assured me that if she went to get the manager, the manager would give us the same response.
It's a shameful reflection on a business that clearly values profit over people.
To the management: You didn't just lose a customer; you made a child feel unwelcome for simply being different. That's something no parent ever forgets.
Avoid this place if you have picky eaters or small children.
- Get charged for having a small child that wont eat food there
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: To not take children or picky eaters

I would like to file a complaint against KPOT in Fargo, North Dakota for discriminating me as a felon who currently resides in a residential reentry facility. I was working for a week and I told the owner I was a first time felon to give me a shot I'm not a bad person so she did.
At the residential reentry facility they do an employment verification to make sure we have employment for their records and a shift supervisor answered the call and took care of it. Joanne who is the owner decided to fire me during my shift today after secretly calling someone to come take over my shift and when she got there she called me into her office and said she didn't want me working there because I didn't disclose that I was a felon living at a residential reentry facility which clearly is a lie because I got interviewed twice the first time I didn't get the job because she stated people would get scared because I'm a felon which is crazy because how would they know? Then the address is clearly Centre inc address had she done the research she would've known the shift supervisor did the employment verification. Aside from all that there were 2 girls from Centre inc who Nathan hired and half the staff there are all felons.
She clearly didn't want me working there since my first interview but the second one I convinced her to give me a chance.
I don't feel like that was fair for someone who is reformed to have to go through this. My charges were NOT violate charges also she doesn't do background checks for her to see what's all on there cause if that was the case half the employees wouldn't be employed there.

Verified ReviewerBad service
We came for a family member's birthday . Lisa was our server .
Waited an hour for a table . At first she was nice , progressively throughout the meal she became mean and nasty . Never checked on us . When receiving the $200 bill , she was adamant about someone paying the service charge , and then grew upset when she didn't get the amount she wanted .
Followed us throughout the restaurant after our meal and repeatedly argued about the tip amount and called us ' horrible ' people . Harassed us outside the bathroom . And told us the we should never come to the restaurant anymore if we can't leave a tip to her standards . Went to speak to the manager and he was not paying any attention .
Even looked at his watch while we were sharing our complaints .
We come to k pot often for special occasions , never had an issue . We visited the k pot in wilkes barre one time , and it completely soured our birthday plans .

I doubt that half the staff are felons. As for the two girls who are felons, they are under 18 so it would not be on their record.
Unfortunately a lot of people "discriminate" against felons. Should have thought of this when you committed the crime.
Half the staff are felon cause we discussed it. And the two girls that are are felons are well over 18 so clearly you don't know what your talking about.
You need to do two things. First, knock the giant chip off your shoulder.
And two, learn the legal definition of discrimination and how it applies to employment. Being previously incarcerated does NOT put you in a protected class. So no matter how hard you try, that is not the basis for claiming discrimination. At most there may have been unfair treatment, but you are an employee-at-will.
You can be let go for any reason or no reason at all. Which is why that chip needs knocked off because it sounds like your attitude may be the cause.
If you're not a bad person, why were you in prison???? Wait a minute.
I'm sorry. I just realized the cops pick on certain people, there's collusion between the Defense Attorney and the Prosecutor because they singled you out and after all, the prison system is so messed up because all those people in there are there only because of their ethnicity and they haven't done a bad thing in their life!
Or they could have actually committed the crime.
I do know the legal definition of discrimination. Your comment is beyond ridiculous and very ignorant.
As a first time felon I’ve humbly accepted it for what it is and worked restaurant jobs. Without felons working these slaved positions your ungrateful *** wouldn’t be able to Dine in anywhere.
I do deserve a second chance & though you might not think so that’s your opinion isn’t valid cause *** shouldn’t have opinions. You like my attitude now?
